One dealer, five jackpots in one week.

I just got home from him dealing us the Omaha jackpot, quad eights beaten by a nine high straight flush. Right before this hand, he's telling me about his week: He had dealt three previous to this hand this week, and he hit the big end of the hold 'em jackpot while playing. That makes five in one week...Ridiculous!

Rigged IMO. Was he the one who didn't get tipped by a notorious nit?

The air-conditioning doesnt work.

The card swipe system randomly removes you from lists. Tonight I should have been first up for the 20 but instead I get stuck in a game I dont want to play for two hours and lose $2,700.

The system never tells me when I have a comp, even when I'm playing 12 hours a day, and expects me to remember to check out, yet they don't have a checkout kiosk at the cashier and I never remember.

They either don't have enough waitresses or they are too lazy to take orders quickly, or they only take one order per table and never speak up to let you know they were there.

Why do I play here again?

I am going to play sometime this weekend. I have been away for a few weeks due to a Vegas trip. Can't wait to get back...

Spoiler:
This thread should have twice as many posts in it.

McFishy and I got into a little tussle on this thread that the mods deleted, I wanted to reiterate what I said in the last post they cut. I was snarky to McFishy first, and not teally sure what their response meant. for anyone who views me favorably should bear in mind that Ive certainly said worse before on the Internet, so don't rush to judgement about anyones character based on a few Internet comments made in the heat of the moment.

Oh and new waitress today. If I was allowed to say she was very cute, I would.

There's really only the one girl who goes all out on here appearance on day shift, and Miss Chieftain, and one of the missing preggers. I think the eye-candy is mostly deployed to the pit.

Oh and avoid all cash games when the donkament starts @ 7pm.

wheres the vid?

also, i went to fort mcdowell this past tuesday to play their bounty tourney, i showed up early to get the increased bonus. at 0930 there was only 6 players in the poker room, 2 being props. turns out they changed the bounty to straight $5 pper player knocked out. they do have aces cracked wins a rack in 4/8 holdem all the time this month but wowo they can barely get one table running even during a tourney.
so i went to CAZ instead and was out shortly after the first break, and played 2-3 for a while, but it was too damn hot in there!

I'm trying to track down details on the "final table" free-roll tournament that CAZ was running along with tournaments for the latter part of the spring / early summer. I vaguely remember seeing the date being mid-July, but I can't remember when. I've been out of town for a while, was wondering if I'll make it back before it goes, and don't think I kept any of the sheets with info about it that they passed out. Any help appreciated.

The reason that I said that I fixed it was bec after the floor ppl gave me blank stares when I asked when the AC would be fixed I called the casino, asked for the complaint department, they put the Manager on Duty on the phone, I explained that the poker room was hot, he said that it was the first he'd heard of it and that he would call maintenance. Appx 45 min later the AC was on. MAJOR PROPS TO ME!!!, I thought, but, no, back to normal the next day.

However, they have placed 4 of those high power fan things that they use to dry the floors after mopping in the poker room so there's a steady breeze now that helps.

That's why they get paid the big money, I guess.

That sounds ridiculous. So it was cooler back when they had the "tent"?

There was a problem with the AC they were fixing, but a casino employee also explained to us that they use fresh air in the poker room, which keeps smoke out of the room. This means they have to dehumidify it, and when it's very hot, the dehumidifier can't keep up, there is a garden hose spraying put of it. Not sure why they can't switch to recirculate when it's that hot, but it's part of the problem.

That sounds like a weak excuse. They have to dehumidify outside air? In Phoenix?

refrigeration air conditioning equipment usually reduces the humidity of the air processed by the system. The relatively cold (below the dewpoint) evaporator coil condenses water vapor from the processed air (much like an ice-cold drink will condense water on the outside of a glass), sending the water to a drain and removing water vapor from the cooled space and lowering the relative humidity.
No, I do not work in a maintenance department.

Wat? You said the guy said they have to dehumidify outside air in order to cool it. Then you post a blurb about how dehumidifaction is a normal part of refrigerating air, which everyone already knows.

Doesn't this prove that I don't work in the maintenance department?

Or that if I do work there I clearly do so without finishing my Maintenance Degree?

I know a lot of houses there have a 2 stage a/c system that combines a swamp cooler with refrigeration. Would a commercial building like CAZ have the same?

We don't know and, more importantly, I don't think CAZ knows either. I'm being half-serious. If it were any of us that were in charge we'd have had it fixed by now. How damn hard can it be? Get an expert in there and if you have to buy and install new then DO IT!
