Most people understand that kill pots are -EV to post.

The other day at the 20/40 there was a huge action player. We had been playing short handed and the kill button wasn't in play yet. He won 2 hands in a row, the 2nd big enough, and the dealer didn't tell him it was a kill pot. The guy was livid and asked the dealer to stop the game and call the floor that he wanted his kill pot.

The dealer said this hand is already in progress you can kill it next hand.

LOL

I think kills might actually reduce variance. See the 1,000 times someone tried to open limp and then folded after hearing it was a kill pot.

I didnt think you were out of line. I see players go into the tank just for the sake of doing it. It was clear you were genuinely using the time to process what was happening.
i think you had a little regret so to speak after the hand was over, i think you would have won it.

Yet they are getting better pot odds on their limp in a kill pot vs. a non-kill pot (unless the killer is in the BB), so it is actually even funnier to see someone try to open limp, and then fold when it is pointed out it is a kill.

I mean I had the guy pretty much pegged on ak and the player behind was obviously folding. I had QThh for 2nd pair I believe and a lot of backdoors. Looking back on it I should have folded pre or not wussed out when playing qts in 1st position 3 ways. How many 3-5 regs post on here?

I play 3-5 and up. I should be playing a lot more in the next month to get ready for the WSOP.

it is less so called profitable to limp in a kill pot. that is because since there is more money in pre, it is more likely to be raised or reraised to isolate players and cut the field down

this... especially in <8-16 i think a kill pot is less likely to be raised, not more.

[QUOTE=jrr63;26293141][QUOTE=Khrysys;26245930]100 points an hour (equivalent of 20 cents, as 500 points = $1).

I've officially given up on getting any comps out of CAZ. Yesterday I played a short 6 hour session (tired and had to get back to Tucson). I did remember to swipe out, but the system would not check me out. I was told that if you play more than 4 hours and don't "reswipe" the system kicks you out and there's no record of your play. QUOTE]

To be fair to CAZ I noticed yesterday a somewhat confusing notice about the need for reswiping on the check-in machine. So i guess that last episode goes town to mea culpa. But I still forgot to do it last night until I'd been there for 5 hours. So I guess I'll forget about it and just play for fun rather than hope to make my fortune on comps.

Hate to hijack this thread...but I've been meaning to post in this thread for some time....just hadn't got around to it / was afraid it was a bit of a stupid thing to post.

I played @ CAZ some time ago while in town on business (had extended the trip a couple days specifically to play cards). While there...I played one of the daily / weekly tournies (can't recall which it was)...and played next to a girl I'd really hit it off with. We both busted around the same time...grabbed a beer, had a great chat...and then sat down and played some 1/2NL together.

End of the night...she gave me her contact info and told me to get hold of her the next day. Who knows where it was going...but all indications were good. The next day...my phone died...and I ended up loosing all my notes and contact info (odd, but true story).

Anyways...I've wanted to try and track her down since...but haven't known how...so figured I'd try here, as she said she was a fair regular to the room. Her name was Wendy...likely in her late 30's / early 40's...longish brunette hair...looks after herself...nice chest. Sorry...I didn't catch her last name.

Anyways...figured this would be the place to ask if there was any shot in hell. If anyone knows of her...pls let me know. If she still frequents the room...would be great to somehow reach out to her.

Thx all...

SB

Well it hasn't been 1/2 for 6 months? I don't know of any Wendy, but I'll try to see if I notice anyone that fits that description.

Nope....thought 2+2 was a long shot...and CL was over 1,000,000:1. As I've said before...no biggie if nothing materializes...just thought I'd throw it out there.
