Correct, "running it twice" (or more) is not allowed, i don't believe you will find it is allowed in any tribal casino in the state of AZ

Thats because the machine broke. But is it really brewed? Or is it like what was at the tents?

I was told 2 weeks ago that the old machine was going to be replaced and that it's really brewed. Tastes better, imo.

And, for my next ATF thread: 'This place needs a celebration smilie'.

They are by the windows to the right as you exit the room.

I don't see a benefit in this. It will draw way more poker players to BJ than the other direction.

Really...you can't see the benefit of this for the casino? I don't think the players voted to have the BJ tables put there, I think the casino management makes those decisions...

Why stop at blackjack?

How long until the outside walls are lined with slot machines?

They do and they will.

I only think of myself, I'm a poker player.

They had this in a Detroit poker room that was the size a typical subway restaurant. It was a nightmare of climbing over people.

Obv they're just trying to squeeze more revenue out of the poker room though I thought it was pretty full at times. Though to be honest besides being contrary to the spirit of the idea of a "poker room," as long as it doesn't go down the slippery slope route of adding in slots and other disruptive stuff in the future, I don't really see too much harm in it.

Last night one of the dealers said they were deciding between the BJ tables or a bank of slots, but thought they could generate more income from the tables.

So, it certainly was/is being considered.

Glad they chose BJ then, because the loudness of slots would have been very annoying.

Does this mean they will have a wandering waitress serving drinks to those tables, or that it will be on the slow service of the regular tableside dining?

I'm pretty sure my expectation at blackjack is higher than it is at holdem, at least the way I play holdem nowadays.

I heard this Dilberteque analysis on a one of Barry G's 2p2 podcasts on the WSOP [we lost money on the lounge]. Moving the revenue from the pit to the poker room sure helps some pointy haired boss look smart by presenting the revenue in tandem with the floorplan of the building.

I wonder what the average rake per table is. If the rake is $2 or $4 and they deal ~30 hands/hr then that averages to about $60-120/hr. Limit games are going to be higher I'd say. Timed games are $15/hr per person which is $135/table.

Time is $14 per hour.

And I doubt any spread limit game averages 30 hands per hour, but limit games are probably 35-40.

I played the 2-3 game for about an hour today and saw 21 hands. I wanted to kill myself. Or maybe I wanted to kill the TV-watching fool who had to tank over every $12 decision. I've been considering switching from limit to the spread limit but the molasses pace is more infuriating than limit variance.

At least there's some money in those pots. When the game was 1-2 I tipped entire pots twice just to say that I'd done it. I've sat in a couple of decent 2-3 games but the pace and the convo can be enough to make my blood stop flowing.
