I'm not sure. I consider the one right by the poker room the front garage because you can see it from the main casino access. I assume Krysys was talking about another garage around the far back side of the hotel part. (which I didn't even know existed. I've literally never gone anywhere other than just the poker room garage because you just walk right in to the poker room from it)

For our use let's call one 'Dobson Garage' bec it's accessed from the Dobson Rd driveway and the other 'Indian School Garage' bec it's accessed by turning into the main entrance off of Indian Bend Rd. and turning right before the the main entrance. The Dobson Garage is closest to the poker room, Indian Bend lets you in next to the Shadows cigar bar.

Sorry if discussed already, but (I happened to play at Talking Stick for first time while visiting PHX last week):

what is with taking the $1 jackpot out of the SB BEFORE the action is complete?

I have never seen that before -- a couple times it confused the action. I have seen a lot of casinos take $1, but NEVER seen a casino drop it before the action was complete.

All the big Arizona casinos do this, it's standard for that state.

q/q

Even some CA places do it. It is confusing at first but you (mostly) get used to it. Dealers spend a lot of time handing back extra $ to SB when they call and forget.

I take Dobson to Walmart all the time . . . so logically I can drive it all the way to CAZ when the 101 is clogged right?

i think theres a river in the way... you can take pima up but its one lane some of the way and gets cloggy itself.

imo a better surface route most of the time is take hayden up to IB then take IB over.... but theres been construction that way recently .

There is a canal in the way : http://goo.gl/maps/AbNO

If you go south on dobson from that three way intersection at talking stick prepare for the definition of washboard gravel road. to will come to the canal and must take a left, you can take that to alma school and then go south Chaparral and over to walmart.
The reverse chaparral to Alma School, north till you just cross over the canal then take a left on to access road follow canal to Dobson take a right.

Be advised this route/road is not very well maintained, is NOT illuminated in any manner and you can drive right into that canal at any point you choose. I would just stay away.

That's some good mapping. I improvised one day from the south, on most of those roads they close them before you have a chance to drive into the canal.

The funny thing though is there are few people living in those big squares of land. They give you odd looks when you drive by. AZ's version of children of the corn.

This is exactly what I meant. And I never venture out of the poker room either...except one day the garage was full (mid summer, 100+, I wanted shade with a black car) and found the 2nd garage.

Dobson = Main / Front (Poker) Garage.
Indian Bend = Back (Shadows) Garage.

I can also confirm the poker pay rate of 100 points an hour = 20 cents.

I visited the Players Reward desk and inquired. I was told "1000 points = $2"
So 1000 = $2.00 -> 100 = $.20.

Uhhh....ya. So I might earn enough points by 2013 for a round of golf.

Im going to try to remember to remind players to clock out when they leave my games. Eventually/ hopefully it will become second nature for the players once they are used to the system.

They should put a kiosk next to the cashier. Or better yet have the cashier swipe your card when they pay you

Yeah 100% this! My last two times cashing out have been huge debacles where the girl had to recount my chips 18 times and have a manager come verify it, recount it again, etc etc. It takes forever sometimes to cash out and if there was a computer hanging right there on the wall, I'd definitely remember to clock out.

I imagine that nobody that goes busto ever remembers clock out because generally at that point you're so upset it's the last thing you're thinking about.

When do you start getting credit for accumulated hours. I have been told that you need to play an 8 hour session in order to get a valued coopun.

I've played and my total hours on checking out only agree with the current session time, not accumulated time.

They said that more changes were coming.

What a colossal waste of time if you have to play 8 hours to get anything from this.

ffs, make it right for the players! A novel concept

Then players would start to worry they are tracking your cashouts.

Probably you'd won so much money they couldn't believe it :-). But I did have a similar experience the last time I was cashing out several thousand - it was like they were unused to the big cashout at least at the poker cage.
