I can also confirm, the texting is live as well. When you check in at the front desk, give them your cell number so it's in the system.

If food vouchers are now good for 5 days, can they now be stacked?

Can someone confirm what the points can be used for?

Food vouchers cannot be stacked. I can confirm this.

Points are for whatever the casino uses points (comps) for. I think you can get cash back, or apply credit to something in the casino (a room, golf, restaurant, etc..).

The 100 points are only worth 20 cents and you need 5,000 points to cash the pittance in. Worse, until they fix the system yet again it will not issue a food comp unless you've accumulated 8 hours of play w/i 24 hours. The board person didn't know if my points will eventually be counted or if I will have tokn start from scratch when fixed.

Basically we are never getting a free meal out of them, the punch cards, of which I still have two, were better.

I noticed the printed new menus. Prices soon creeping up to compensate?

I can verfiy:

If you actually play 8+ hours continuously, you will get a message (if you continue and/or logout) saying you have "a voucher ready, please see the front desk" and a receipt will print at the front desk with your name on it.

However, you are also supposed to get one for every 8 hours of cumulative (not continuous) play, but the way the system is currently coded it only checks continuous play, and not cumulative.

If you have more than 8 hours of play (cumulative), just talk to a floor person. Most of them seem to be understand, and will fill out a voucher for you. If you're a semi-reg+, they should recognize you and it shouldn't be much of an issue.

I can also confirm food vouchers are good for 5 days (instead of 2).

I can confirm you cannot stack the vouchers.

I can confirm that menus prices are up a bit. I always ordered the same 1 of 3 things, which were all $5.75, and they are now $6. I assume the rest of the menu is like this, but I only recognize the things I've ordered.

As for the points, I don't really don't know. I've heard 100 points = $1, but Howard may be right at 100 points = 20 cents.

Sorry I haven't gone all the way through this thread, but I'll be down there next week and was looking for some basic updates on the games...

Last year they had a 1-2 game and a 3-5 game (not really NL, I know). Still the same? What are the max buyins at each? How are the games? How are the wait times at different times of day?

Also, how is the Tuesday/Weds tourney? Same structure as always?

Thanks. Sorry for not going through the whole thread to find this on my own.

That change is only going to hurt the waitresses. I round up my tip from a dollar to the next highest dollar amount when ordering a meal. If it is $6.25, they get $8, if it is $7, they get $8. So they just cut the waitresses money, not the players if everyone actually tips IMO.

The 1/2 has changed to a 2/3 game, which makes the game much better IMO. The max buy-in is $300 and the max bet is $300, which rarely comes into play.

The 3/5 game has a min buy-in of $300 I believe and a max of $1000, with the max bet being $500.

Those games are mainly going around the clock at multiple tables, so you shouldn't have a problem getting a seat with less than a 20 minute wait time.

Tourneys, no clue.

Why don't they put it on their website or make printouts of all the details of the comp system? I remember when they gave that $55 comp out last year and the only way you could've known about it was through word of mouth. I wouldn't be surprised that if you didn't cash that in after a certain amount of time it was voided.

There is a printout/flyer with most of the info. It is at the front desk, and at the Floor window.

I have a few ?s

The reason there are so many more 20s and 40s and 5-10s Sl than there were in August is because it's winter? Do the snowbirds make these big games softer or harder in general?

Do you think the 3-5 being hurt by the resurgence of 2/3 and 5-10? I've sat briefly in a couple tables and was suprised at how tight they were playing.

Alright I'll check next time I'm there. I didn't see anything last week and usually they put up all the flyers at the front desk on the website.

I think I was at that table.

I remember this one hand... I think it was raised preflop to $20 or $25...just about every pot was raised preflop with multiple callers in all positions, anyway.

3 callers (Stack sizes 1st $1260, 2nd $975, 3rd $1500) and the flop comes Jd 4c Js... first guy checks, next guy bets $45 and both guys call...

Turn 9c... 1st guy(BB) leads for $100, next guy(MP) raises to $250, now the third guy (button) raises to $500. WEEEEEE!

This is getting sick. BB tanks for 15 to 20 seconds and raises to $1000.

MP guy shoves all-in for his last $725...

Button takes a moment stands up...and calls. Before the river is dealt the BB goes all in for his last $160 or so....

Okay... I will give you hands before the river...

BB 44 for a full house Fours Full of Jacks.
MP J5 off - for trip jacks with 9 kicker
Button- J10 for trip jacks 10 kicker....

Drum roll ............... bang a 9 on the river. Insert vomit noise now!!! Here's the best thing...the button tells me that is what he put the BB on pocket fours...LOL!!

There were so many horrible plays in this hand...but I have to say for the most part it was a bad beat nightmare of a table.

It was great table to be at for all the action just as long as you could dodge the mine field of bad beats.

Briefly some scary things that happened...
A drunk guy calls $175 for a gut shot on the flop and gets a 3 for straight to scoop a $500 pot.

Another guy bets $100 on a 10 9 8 two spade board, next guy shoves all-in for $500+ and the guy calls with K 10 off no spade... the raise bricked out. He just so happened to have AsJs ...21 outs....

It was a fun night for some....

Last night I could not get into the casino. Poker room garage full, outside lot full with cars everywhere. For good measure, the old unpaved lot with near-unlimited space has been closed.

I could have parked in the office buildings across the road but drove to Gila instead. I can't recall any occasion of not being able to park at a casino before. Maybe once in downtown Detroit.

There is a 2nd garage on the far side of the casino. I've never seen it remotely close to half full. I'm not sure if people don't know about it, or are too lazy to drive that far.

Happens in Vegas quite a bit, especially on holiday weekends.

The saturday before Valentines both covered parking garages , the outside parking and valet were all full. It was because of an event. I was able to snag a spot alongside the curb at the far reaches of the front lot when someone left, but I had friends who had to park across the street. Hopefully they'll open up some more parking now that the tent is gone, or pave over the old employee lot.

System was down when I left today and there was no way to sign out even at the board so I lost my 7 hours.

I had no idea that there was. I've never even driven up to the front side. Good to know for the crazy days I guess. What was going on Saturday that made it so busy? I stopped by just to grab some money mid afternoon (luckboxed a spot in the main garage) and couldn't believe how packed it was. I thought maybe that was just normal for a Saturday and I should play more on Saturdays...

The back garage is the one that lets you in right by the poker room and player club line correct?
