Correct on the 3/5nl, and the 5/10nl is $300 to $2500, max bet $500 just like the 3/5nl. It runs most weekdays, and maybe half the time on weekends.

And people just call it 5/10nl because 5/10sl would get way more people asking questions..

Whats the optimal way to buy in for $2500 in that game?

Rack of red, 2 stacks of green, and 10 blacks?

Hopefully I get to use that advice this year.

And wow at the min buy-in being $300 and not $500. Seems ripe for short stacking with a 30 BB stack...

No, there are 1-2 low limit older gentlemen who mainly play early in the am during the week.

And I'd say it's usually just short handed later at night when people leave, like midnight and later. It seldom starts short handed because lots of regs won't play short and when it does start, it fills up fast.

All personal preference. NOSUP4U is partial to a LOT of red and some purples, my favorite buyin was 300 red, 700 green, 500 black and 2 purples, as i'm not a big fan of having a ton of chips in front of me, and custon that has not been an issue in the slightest for me since I moved to LV

I saw nothing about the casino, poker, or anything even closely related to that anywhere in the past eight or ten posts. Feel free to discuss it with me further via PM or in the B&M low-content thread rather than further derailing this thread.

Here's some content:

They've altered the sections that games are played in:

Tourneys are now played in the back of the room. High limit is pretty much in line w/ the exit/restroom aisle and cash games have been 'pushed' up front. This was done to make the room look more full which, I suppose, is aimed at attracting hotel guests/tourists.

After the tourney was over, at around 6 or 7, they started migrating them back to their normal place...and then if any games last overnight, they get to move them again for tomorrows tourney...

Went to both upper (top) floor bars tonight, and service was horrible at both. Supe slow, appetizers took so long at the lower one that we were seconds from going to the gift shop for crackers. The bartender at the toppest bar did a great job of getting the excellent beef tips to us quickly, but waitress never brought my wife her drink. it's been almost a year and both bars still seem understaffed, and their staff under trained.

I noticed that too last night. It makes more sense, except that it gets even more crowded around the front desk.

It's fun to see the bigger nl games next door to the 3-6 LHE. I suppose having people see the games is better then keeping them all the way back.

Table 33 is like a fishbowl exhibit for the walk-by casino traffic. They should put a big game there, and stop storing the drink tables there so players can move.

I thought they always kept the high limit games in the back to give them an aura of exclusivity. You know cause the table in Bobby's Room isn't right next to the 4-8LHE game at the bellagio.

They've had 40/80 through 1/2 games in that window on multiple occasions during the period from Thanksgiving to New Years, when the room was full and or there was a small chance of certain death from the construction at the far end of the room. The players didn't seem to mind, but they apparently won't make that move because there's nowhere to put a high limit board over in that vicinity, and it's on the exact opposite end of the room from the high-limit floor counter.

There are pluses and downsides to having the bigger games smack in the middle of the room, but they're collecting comment cards for suggestions about where the final resting place of the top section'll be. If you have an opinion, ask Rita or one of the floors for one.

Actually, it is, but it's on the other side of a thin wall.

Since Bobby's room isn't really used anymore they should let the 4/8 players in.
