Meh, the last time I ever played a tourney there when we got to the final table everybody yelled 'yay!' and it got chopped. So I said 'What chop?' and got told that's what they do there, they chop the final table. Do they still do that? I almost had a head assplosion.
We could maybe get some info from Fort regs if there were any who post/read here which I doubt.
I consider myself to be a semi-reg at the Fort hitting it 3-4 times a week since we moved here in June. We're almost close enough to see it from our house. I've been desperately trying to keep my winnings in the poker room > my wife's losses over on 'the dark side' playing such wonderful inventions as 3-card poker and let-it-ride. A futile endeavor.
Anyway, when they get to the money (not necessarily the final table) they'll often propose what they call a 'save', where they leave the top 2 or 3 spots unchanged, and take the rest of the places totaled and average it. That's happened in 3 of the 4 tourneys where I've cashed, plus several others that I've observed. I've never seen a proposal for a complete even chop when it got to the FT.
I agree with what others have said about the promo bonuses tilted against the casual player- there is money to be made in their daily bounty tourneys, but really only if you've put in the 3 hours live. But it's damn tough for most of us working stiffs to get that in on the weekdays. I hate playing in them when I'm only going to collect $5 bounties instead of the $50's, so lately I've only been doing the Sunday evening one after sitting at the 3-6 or 4-8 for 3 hours.
This month though they've switched up their Friday tourney to a $120 buy-in with $50 bounties and no live play required. In this one the bounty money comes out of the buy-in whereas in their other daily bounty tourneys the bounty money is (obviously) coming from the promo pool.
