So they are just sitting on it, waiting for all the other companies to spend all their marketing budget? Might not be a horrible decision, within how much Caesars and MGM are clearly pumping into advertising.

Well BetMGM is partnered with Gila River, yet you list Cardinals.

BetMGM partnered with both Gila River and the Cardinals. Another list is available here: https://sportshandle.com/arizona/ (10 tribes listed, but not Pima).

Sorry if it was already discussed but is there any word as to whether or not they will rerun the Arizona State Championship in '22? Prize pools in the years before covid were $1.5m to $1.8m, seems like it was always super popular. Too many fun tourney events around the country that haven't come back post covid.

They had the spread limit Omaha games available, and those never ran. Why would Pot Limit be any different? Especially at the lower stakes. It also takes too long per hand, and games break quickly. Which is probably why the casino wants to run 5/10+ only, so they can charge the half hour rate.

The Omaha spread limit game is listed as a mix. It took me 6 months of playing every week at talking stick before I realized they were Omaha high variants. It's not well advertised. If people see pot limit Omaha on the bravo they will go. Also having HL is dumb too because it's not intuitive that it means high limit, people will think it means hi low.

Also couldn't they just run a 5/5 plo game and charge time rake? Why does it have to be 5/T.

Any game could be ran as time charge. It is just easier to only run it at higher limits because the player pool is smaller and less explaining needing to be done. Almost all limit game players would benefit from a time charge, even at 3/6. Probably not NL though as the nits can win 1-2 hands per hour.

ya i mean time rake is almost always going to be better for the players, i just dont understand why hes trying to say why they dont want to run under 5/10. If anything running a smaller game is best for creating an ecosystem for new players to get their feet wet. can have a 2/3 or 2/3/5 game, a 5/5 game or a 5/5/10 game, then a 10/10 or 10/10/20 game.

While I personally would love to see PLO at TS and I believe it would not hurt for them or anyone to try spreading or listing for 1/2 or 2/2 PLO for a month or two to see if there is truly a market in Arizona for PLO, I would imagine they (the manager) is hesitant for spending the necessary resources to train dealers and prepare for the games for it to not work out. I know when Tom took over (I dont know if he is still there) about 7-8 of us approached him about them spreading a $5/point OFC game during off peak hours are were pretty much given the same reasons as was listed above. Even with offering $5/per player for tokes on top of time rake and whatever else we would tip it was turned down. Maybe if he had more than a few players reach out, maybe a couple dozen or more, he might be more inclined to giving it a trial run. The same situation may be in play for PLO.

But going on twitter and bashing a guy because he did not give an answer you liked is a sure way to burn any bridge of communication.

Yesterday a dealer told me that they expect the tent to open up the first week of August. They will run the tournament points free roll on July 31st and shut down the room later that night. New tent supposed to have 9 additional tables and back to uncapped tournaments.

The state championship has a cap of 400 entrants per day for a total cap of 1200 players. I imagine it selling out quickly given that even the $345 at beginning of the month fills up within the first 2 blind levels.
