What happened to the 7 handed games?

I went down there tonight for a bit and talked to the room supervisor and he told me that the gaming dept has only approved 4 handed; however, he seemed pretty optimistic that they would approve 7 handed with the plexiglass but I guess TS didn't submit for approval before they reopened. He said they let them do it yesterday since they had games running when the gaming people came by. BTW 4 handed isn't all that fun...

FWIW, he seemed to think it would be a rather quick approval process.

‘Let them do it’ doesn’t sound like a line that would come from the Arizona Dept of Gaming. I’ve found they were very “by the book” on all issues in the past. Hope I’m wrong and, things get going ASAP. 4 handed is brutal for an OMC like me.

“Old men LIKE ME”. I haven’t played poker in over 3 years. Maybe I’m wrong though and everyone will embrace 4 handed. I hope so cause I wanna see the room do well for my friends who work and play there.

Of course 4 handed isn't all that fun. Until they have at least 6 handed poker and voluntary (not mandatory) masks the poker room will suffer big time.

Tell that to the 100 ppl there right now. Lol. Also, not their call. They have to listen to the gaming board. And 4 handed is Probably better than 0 handed for them.

100 players is nothing for that poker room. they will suffer until the rules are relaxed. it's not their fault but it is what it is. you are clueless if you think otherwise.

Understand for sure but there is no way for a person to know for sure where they got infected. So to say the casino will get closed if a few of their patrons get infected is a stretch. They could have got it from anywhere or anyone.

Obviously they will suffer if they can't fill the capacity of the room under normal conditions. Did you really think I was arguing that?

A bunch of employees getting sick at the same time is the bigger issue.

That person could infect multiple people he came into contact with at the casino. If those who work there get infected others may need to quarantine. I would think the resort would contact anybody who was at the same table as this guy. I think the word would get out quickly. I wonder what protocoles Talking Stick has for such a situation.

I think the resort could be forced to close for a day or two to do deep cleaning and make sure all who might have been affected have been contacted.

What you are saying pertains to any establishment. Either we live our lives or we can hide in our parents basements. The facts are clear. Little to nothing happens to over 99% of the people who catch the virus. The -1% who are at great risk (over 80 years old with certain underlying diseases) should take precautionary action. There's a reason many refer to it as the shamdemic.

Googled "shamdemic" just for fun. Almost no one is referring to it as that.

I'll be there when it's at least 6 handed. Come on down. I play 5-500. Be glad to play with you and take your money.

Yup, not even a Fox News article when I google 'scamdemic'. Maybe it's all over your Facebook timeline? or your own head? lol. Anyway, we should probably bring the focus back to the topic of the thread, which is TSR poker.

Yes, keep the thread related to the room, and take unrelated coronavirus discussion to the coronavirus thread in CCP.

Played at talking stick the last night and the night before. Turnout was decent and 7-handed is now running. The plexiglass is kind of a pain especially if you are looking for tells. Can't hear a word most of the dealers say and forget about anyone further than one seat away from you. Still had good nights overall. No food in the poker room right now.

As a 25 year old that looks 21, I would really really appreciate it if all these older gentleman continued to try to run over me with their low pairs and such. You guys are making it easy for me!
