Looks like 10 games going. Some games have "4 handed" written next to them. Some games do not have that written next to them. I wonder if they are providing more social distancing to those who want it at certain tables? Some big waiting lists.

Seems like a good start.

Upon further review, they don't have 20/40 limit going yet. Not even a waiting list. I hope they have this going when I get down there in about a month.

Table 11 I think.

The guy in the reddit thread says that the tables with the plexiglass installed are 7 handed and they have 4 handed tables with no plexiglass.

According to bravo, there are 17 games going and over 100 people on the waiting lists. Seems like strong turn out for day 1. Hopefully the AZ covid #s drop off soon.

I've only seen ten games at the most on Bravo.

Three 20/40 games! I would so be there if I was a pro and younger.

Are any of these limit games? I'm wondering if something is wrong with what I am seeing on Bravo.

Maybe it was a glitch? Or some combination of players leaving / signing up and not playing / opening day curiosity? Now it's just showing 11 games and only about 20 people on the waiting lists.

Of course they are limit. Here is what I see right now (11 games):

Current Live Games # of Tables
3-6 HoldEm 1
5-600 HoldEm 1
4-8 HoldEm 2
20-40 HoldEm HL 2
3-300 HoldEm 4
3-300 Hold-em 4 Handed 1

That's what I see too. I meant 20/40 limit. I assume the 20/40 HL is high low?

No, HL means High Limit, meaning you need to go to the High Limit board in the back.

Those are also the time games.

Oh! I don't remember it saying that last time I was there.

I do remember a time today when there were two of the 20/40 HL games going and at the same time there was a 20/40 limit interest board.

I hope you are right!

Thanks!

Does talking stick have spread limit omaha? Does it run often?

They had a 5-500 and a 10-500 that ran pretty regularly. Can't speak to the likelihood that it runs now.

I showed up last night around 6:45pm and brought my own hand-sewed cloth mask that they didn't seem to mind me using in lieu of the standard issue one. When I got to the poker room, I was seated immediately in a 4 max 20-40 LHE game that was a feeder for a main game and must move game that were both 7 max plexiglass games.

I eventually moved into one of the 7 handed games and really wasn't a fan of navigating the plexiglass, it seemed like that and the masks hindered table talk to a considerable degree.

The 4 handed LHE game was played with just one big blind, even heads up, although the floor said we could add a small blind if we preferred. I think they're being pretty lenient right now and letting players decide what they want to do with such rules. We weren't playing with a kill 4 handed but could have added one if we'd wanted. I'm not sure what would happen in a 2vs2 disagreement.

They had separate lists for 4 handed and 7 handed 5-500. I signed up for both when I got there but chose to remain in the 20-40 LHE when they called me.

They made an announcement at one point that players not seated in a game couldn't be hanging out in the room.

There's no more tableside food service. You can order beverages but then have to navigate the mask to drink them. Overall, it was not as pleasant as the old setup but still better than sitting at home in my opinion.

Also, they are open 24/7 based on the curfew order saying there's an exception for patronizing local businesses. I drove home around 11pm with no mishaps.

I felt an over whelming sense of sadness while reading the above posts as to what has become of our world.
I had planned to spend the last week of May in Scottsdale to play poker at Talking stick and enjoy the Arizona hot Sun before heading to WSOP as I did the last few years.
I pray for a return to normalcy soon and before we lose our minds!

How was the action? Any complaints about being 'short-handed'? Were the people playing younger than the normal older regs?

The games seemed pretty good, there were unrecognizable faces but perhaps they would be recognizable without masks. I'll try to pay more attention tonight and give a better report.

Did they give up on the 7 handed, plexiglass games already? Bravo says there's 16 games, all of which are 4 handed.

Does anyone know if they are keeping the rake the same on the 4 handed tables?

Do they page/text the people when their game is ready? Where do they wait?

Are they sanitizing the chips?

How many people ended up with their nose above their mask?

Any discussion on when they'll be ditching the masks or plexiglass?

Doubt the day after they open they are already discussing that m8. It'll get there eventually.
