Be aware it's not really PLO. It's 5-500 spread limit omaha. So you can bring it in for up to 500 (even UTG), but subsequent bets/raises can be no more than 500. It's more like fairly high stakes limit omaha, high only.

I assume you mean 2020, not 2019.

With the Phoenix Open, Barrett-Jackson, and everything else going on, hotels are at a premium in Scottsdale right now. You won't be findings free rooms.

Talking Stick: As mentioned above, reopening June 1st with poker at 50% capacity. 5 handed tables? Less tables? Not sure.

Gila River WHP has no poker plans in the future even though they opened on Friday.
Poker employees were placed on furlough until Nov. They are currently using their poker room for slots. The poker tables are gone.

No word on poker plans at Ak-Chin or Desert Diamond.

Just saw an internal memo from Talking Stick CEO Dennis Leong dated May 15th concerning the re-opening. Says all employees and guests will be required to wear masks that will be provided by the casino. As far as guests, good luck with that. Lol

Does "reduced capacity" mean fewer poker tables or short handed games? both??

Are they going to make people sign legal waivers? If the masks they are providing are not N95 they are going to get their a**es sued off when people get the virus. I know it's hard to prove where they got it but there will still be lawsuits.

I bet no business that hands out masks to wear will get sued successfully. This assumes they are not handing out masks and then saying "don't worry about the six foot rule, the mask will protect you".

If it's just 4 handed that will be a problem. If it's 6 handed it should be ok. I think even some of the old men who hate short handed will suck it up for a while. Not that old men should be playing poker right now.

I will probably give it a month or two before I jump back in. I'd prefer for the Covid numbers to be way down and trending down. I'd suspect the games to suck at the beginning. Those who make a living playing will be there. It's gonna be a grind.

This is just pure speculation. I hope I'm wrong and the games come back quickly.

As recently as a month ago, I was pretty sure I wasn't going to play live poker again in 2020 but now with infection numbers declining and boredom and impatience setting in, I'm taking a wait and see depending on how the next few weeks go.

Mandatory masks is definitely a good idea. If you don't want to wear a mask, don't come to the casino.

There was another thread about the Florida casinos and they were saying mixed things about game quality. I'm sure it will likely change as time goes on though.

Well, not by patrons anyway.

A couple months ago I considered this a lost year for everything. I am feeling much more optimistic now. I think the fact(As of this writing) that the CDC has dialed back concern of this thing spreading to people from surfaces is a good thing. The mortality rate isn't as terrifying as it once was. I'm not as worried about getting testing or care as I was at the beginning.

I think people will slowly start to peek their heads out and enter back into society. I just hope the stupid people don't ruin it for everybody.

I'm sure you're right but the problem is most people do think that non-N95 masks protect them. And it seems like if the casino is handing out PPE, people would expect it to be effective PPE. And maybe even expect the casino to enforce that everyone is wearing PPE, and wearing it correctly.

Non-N95 masks don't stop the virus, they only stop large droplets of spit from flying around.

I guess the casino could have large signs up saying the masks do not protect against viruses.

I would expect the casinos to follow CDC guidelines. Given the shortage of N95 masks it would be highly frowned upon if they were handed out to customers. They will hand out surgical masks and be fine.
