Yeah I know that's why I wanted more details about the accusations.

If you swipe your card in that machine there's a "check in" box and a "check out" box. I guess you're supposed to hit the check out when you're done?

I also heard they were going to back-credit you with 8 hrs for every time you checked in before. Any word about that?

So today, I got massively tilted by a completely BS angle shot a semi regular took. THis guy always buys in to the 3-5 or 5-10 for like 40BB's, then leaves whenever he gets over 60 or so. That's annoying, but w/e. He has also pulled a shady move or two in other ways I won't get into, but tonight takes the cake. Shortly after he almost doubled up, then walked around for a bit to act as if he wasn't leaving, he won a football square pool for $400. Good for him, w/e, right? Wrong. A newer player mentions, "Damn, that was supposed to be MY ticket", but doesn't seem overly perturbed, as I doubt he even knows what he would have won. I ask him what he means, and he says that when all the tickets were laid out,(face down of course, so you can't pick and choose), he, being at the far end of the table, asked the slimeball in question to hand him a particular face-down ticket that he was pointing to. Slimeball, who seconds before grabbed a ticket for himself, grabs the ticket newbie asks for, compares it to his own, and then HANDS THE NEWBIE THE TICKET HE HAD INITIALLY GRABBED. Of course, the ticket the newbie asked for had the numbers 0-3, and the ticket he was given was 8-7. The newbie wasn't too worked up about it, because he didn't realize that the guy had effectively stolen a card worth ~$120(using King Yao's square valuation charts from WTOASB, hopefully properly) and instead given him his own card with a value of ~$4. Once I mentioned this to the newbie, he was a bit more perturbed, but seemed to blow it off mostly, although it tilted me to no end, along with the fact that I had to leave a great game to go home and get thrown up on by a sick two year old in 15 minutes time.

I know of a player who was banned from the casino for life allegedly for looking at more than one ticket and picking the best one. You want to make trouble for the guy? See if a floor person is willing to check the tape.

I do know of players who have been banned for life from places for trying to rig promotions like this.

Like I said this is a can of worms not for the Internet. What I will say is that after having spent a lot of time in one room I seen a lot of shady things going on. I heard about a lot more, but at best those can only be considered rumors. What I have seen first hand, well its not my place to speak up, its for the people that were disadvantaged to speak up. At the time, I did encourage them to do so, but did not. Anything else I would have is pure speculation and circumstantial.

I don't think anyone is against posting first hand accounts of events.

And I agree that rumors, etc. are probably best left alone.

I was playing Sunday at CAZ, where I play semi-regularly, and I got pretty lucky. I was sitting short-stacked at 3-5, and was up a little over my buy-in when the football tickets were about to get passed out. Normally I'd have left, having scored on my hit-and-run, but I figured I could miss a few hands and still see if my ticket paid off. I mean, why not cash in on that $2 promotional rake. Anyway, they fan out the cards, and a guy in the 8 seat asks me to pass him one. So I grab two tickets, and notice that one of them is 0-3 and pass the dude in the 8 seat the other one LDO. I post-fold a couple more hands and WHAMMO! $400 in cold-hard-cash.

Sweet!. Exact same thing happened at my 5-10 table with a guy in the 7 seat.

Nah, he leaves me alone for the most part, he was to busy texting someone to notice anyway.

btw My better half is trying to put faces to names as well.
She thinks she knows who you are and thought you may have been sweating someone in a 3/5 game for a bit yesterday during day shift.

That is false. I am only playing about once a week, usually Sat or Sun morning.

Last time I was in I played from like 1-5 on Sunday during the Cardinals game.

I started at 3/5 and moved to 20/40.

Anyone know where all the jackpot money goes? I was 8-16 Omaha playing with a fella who remarked that the jackpots are usually far higher in other rooms across the country he plays at, typically $50k-$100k.

I said, must be higher qualifier, he says no, quad Sevens vs. quad Fives can't make that much difference in O8, nor Quad deuces vs. Aces full of tens in holdem. maybe they are dropping more? no, usually less, he says, 4 instead of 6.

Anyone do the math on how much goes into the jackpot account? Is the difference all the football promotions and state championship addition? Can it be the qualifiers?
