I had no problem buying in for my last 7k all at once after going on tilt in that PLO game last time I was there.

Stud variety where you get extra down cards and discard them. Typically 4 down and one up, discard two of your downcards.

I liked the way Bay 101 chiprunners used to do it. They wore vests sort of like AK-47 magazine carriers, and carried a number of racks on them. They worked a small area, so they mostly only needed 1 or 2 denominations. There were 4 or 5 chip "kiosks" throughout the room, each with a bunch of locking drawers. When their chip vest got low, they would replenish from their kiosk drawer. You would usually get chips within 30-60 seconds from when you called for them.

Then Bay 101 got rid of all the chiprunners. Maybe they got tired of paying them.

why pay anyone as long as your tables stay full no matter what you do.

Just wanted to get some opinions about timing.

I'm flying into phoenix airport around 10pm on a Tuesday and need to go to Flagstaff the next day. Have heard about the poker here, so wanted to stop by! Better games / ambience late night on a Tuesday (how late do the games run?) or am I better off just coming in lunch time the next day?

Yeah, that appears to be current ownership's operating mode. When Marko was still alive, money wasn't everything, and he seemed to believe in excellent service to the players. He used to lose a lot of money every year to host the WPT Shooting Star, which they don't do any more.

you need to get above level one thinking and adjust to each player and how to make them think what you want.

Thanks for the advice Ray. I’ll try to get above that first level.

I was wondering the same thing. TSR website has no mention of it.

The BBJ pool has been allowed to increase ~$300K over the past few months. The only reason that I can think of is that they're gearing up for football season when the promos use up a lot of money.

The old bird's in assisted living now. Mom's in the rehab herself, btw, but she's due to come home on Wednesday and she doesn't own a gun.

@ everyone who's wondering what happened: A 92 y.o. woman killed her 72 y.o. son for wanting to put her in assisted living. That happened very near the rehab place mom's in.
