Does anybody know how many runners they had for the staycation tournament friday and today? Also if you know how long the levels are?

Thinking about coming down tomorrow to play.

Wouldn't say "a lot", infrequently and unpredictably prob best description?; mixes are usually draw-heavy. 20 o8/stud8 goes every day tho.

Better get there by 7 am if you want to play tomorrow, imo. The $250 hi hand every 15 minutes is from 9-4, then the game, then more promos.

I doubt 7am is necessary. And that doesn't affect the high stakes games. I hope 7am isn't necessary, plan on getting there around 9-10.

it affects top section because as they fill the room with eligible games( and they will use any and all tables) there will be less/little/no tables to start new non eligible games( high limit) and you may end up on a wait list that doesn't budge.

Why do they insist on having so many ante-less tournies? Does this bother anyone else?

I went in yesterday expecting it to be packed, i had been off for a while and though the High hand every 15 minutes promo had been changed to yesterday because of Howard's post. it had not.
It takes place on the 29th.
that's why Desert Cat got in to a game yesterday at 3 without issue.
So Howards original assertion that you may likely need to be there early (on the 29th) stands.

every time ive asked about this ive been told people complain its to much work to ante every hand.

i also dont understand why they changed the bounty tourney from 100 to 50 on the bounties. they said they got complaints the prize pool wasnt big enough but ive never heard anyone ever complain about it ever. i feel like the complainers on the prize pool not being big enough was whoever made the final table in december

It's an anti-taunting rule. While silly, it's easy to never have it called vs you, just don't show one card. Or show both cards, which is what I do, because it never matter anyways.

Thats a special rule in a special game amongst a small population. Using that as an example for the general population is poor.

I show one card all the time. I can't recall ever being asked or required to show the second

It was also my understanding that show one show all meant show your hand to 1 player and you have to show it to all of them. I remember hearing about anti taunting rule before but it is enforced literally never (maybe more so at small games though)

"Show one show all" does mean show one player your hand and anyone else can ask to see it, enforced in almost all rooms.

"Show one show both" is a separate rule, which is in place in only a few rooms.

i dont like the rule cuz it only really happens when someone asks another player who doesnt play in the room often or is inexperienced if they will just show 1 card and then when they do they quickly bring up the rule that you have to show both and make the dealer flip the other

If it is ever enforced while action is pending, as in that example, then it is the worst rule I have ever heard of.

I'm pretty sure the second rule only exists as a misinterpretation of the first.
