They are probably more comfortable only because they aren't worn out yet.

The last few times I've played I've sat back down after wandering, roaming, coffee, bathroom, etc. and I've put my knee down first and banged it on some internal screw underneath the padding. It really hurt the first time and each time I've brushed it since it's freaked me out cause I'm reminded how much it hurt.

looks as though they would be difficult to reverse and lean forward on.

Now if they would just: get bravo, allow call ins, get clay chips, have USB ports at table, allow button straddles, guarantee the poker room rate, get rid of the few horrible floor/dealers, etc etc

For the record, I'll be in AZ again in April, and because of my earlier issues with the poker rate, I won't be staying there. I may stop by one day to play, or I may not. So that particular issue continues to keep away my business. I mostly go to Vegas or LA instead now.

I wouldn't complain about the comfort of the new chairs without sitting in them, but it does surprise me that they would go through the financial expense of getting new chairs, and wouldn't get ones that roll and swivel, like most of the other rooms I play in. Missed opportunity.

The chairs are fine. I can't remember what kind of chairs Commerce/Bike use but I don't remember swivel chairs.

The chairs are better than the old ones but after years of players complaining/the time & cost getting these..why not just go all out and get some really good ones?

(I've heard more complaints than compliments about the new chairs so far)

My main complaint is the color is off. That is an earth toned poker room and those chairs belong in a sterile corporate meeting room. They feel okay to sit in but they taper back away from the table which is the opposite direction of the action.

I've never enjoyed those swiveling chairs in vegas so I'm glad about that.

I was neutral on new seats, I like that they are higher, don't like the fact they are reclined. But now getting negative after it seems like mine is getting constantly bumped by servers/row cutters, it's very annoying.

I hate when I am eating (since I am usually in the 5 seat) and the dealer going into or out of the table behind mine is just completely oblivious of their surroundings and brushes into my meal.

Are the new chairs any more comfortable after sitting in them for long periods of time? You'd think they'd go for something nicer but they don't look too much better than the old ones.

The old ones had ripped fabric and felt like sitting on a concrete block. The new ones have padding and can't be anything but better. I wish that they weren't a bit higher, and they could have chosen better, but these will do.

They will sit lower as the padding starts to wear and compress I am guessing.

Played yesterday and they will take a bit to get used to. But in a month I'll have forgotten all about them being different.

I wonder if Wild Bill Hickok ever complained about the chairs.

Then you'd need the 'third man walking' rule. They're not absolutely strict w/ the 10 minutes unless you've been gone that long when the table hits a BBJ.

I hate these new chairs. I have long torso and now am sitting way too high in the air. And can't lean back without being very awkward and uncomfortable. These are the least comfortable chairs I've ever sat in a poker room and perhaps anywhere.

They feel like nUgahide that does not breath. So if someone leaves after a long play and you get that chair it might be damp from sweat. Sweat dreams
