What does this mean? Is it just like the 2/3 and 3/5 spread limit games in that it is almost like no limit? The last time I was there I never noticed that game on the displays.

I dont know if anybody agrees or disagrees

But i was talkin w a reg at talk st the other day and he was sayin the game here is kind of wierd cuz the 3/5 game really plays like a 5/10 game so there are alot of regs that play 2/3 that should be playin 2/5.

Basically the jump from 2/3 to 3/5 is pretty substantial here as opposed to your standard states w no limit that offers 1/2 3/5 5/10

in their tournaments now its not a rebuy, it is a re-enter so you repay the full juice to the casino again. From what I hear it is the highest juice in the usa.
Not even close. Every time the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas has one of their special tourneys or tourney series, they charge 30% juice by the time you consider that a $140 buy-in is really $150 with the addon, which everyone takes. Only $105 of each $150 goes to the prize pool. At Talking Stick, their $145 evening tourneys features $30 juice plus I think it's $5 for promotions out of every buy-in. This amounts to only 24.1% total juice.

The spread games at TSR are played using standard "limit" rules
most significant things to remember:
Each betting round allows for a bet and 3 raises, if it becomes heads up before the cap is reached( even if the round starts multiway) the cap on raises is removed.

a raise of half or more re-opens to original bettor (but also caps if its the 3rd raise )

another thing to remember in the TSR games...
You are allowed to ad-on to your stack, any amount up to the max between hands.

If you felt, you must come back in for the minimum, no short buys allowed.

yes it follows the same rules as the other spread games, the list is kept up by the high limit board/computer in the back, you wont see it on the screens.
( last night they had a $25/$25 -$500 Omaha High game going all night)

I was there Friday, what happened. I thought they promised the players real poker chairs. Still using now very worn out banquet chairs. These are not built or expected to be sat on for more than an hour. They are ruing peoples back's with the cheap crap.

What's the deal with the SL? Why are there no No Limit games in the area?

State compact allowing the Indian casinos. Can't spread NL under the compact.

In SL - let's say the game is 3/5 w 500 cap.

I'm on the BTN 2 limpers.
Can I bet any amount up to 500? Or do I need to raise like in limit games? Make it 10/15 so on? Thanks

As someone else just mentioned, it has to do with the state law regarding what they will allow the casinos to offer in terms of betting limits.

By the way, are you from Florida? Specifically, the Tampa area? Just curious.

In spread limit, you can bet or raise any amount within the spread. Then (just like in NL), if you bet 100, the next person can only raise by a min of 100 more, up to the top of the spread limit.

Ive been reading this threas for a while and finally made it here tonight, you guys are too hard on this room. The tvs are all set up really well here, the food was better then average, and the action was decent enough. Sure, the not having bravo and chairs are frustrating but this room isnt too bad

personally from what ive seen it is better if a room doesnt put up their games on the net. the better players wait and swamp the lists when good games start and make it harder for rec. players to fall in the game.

I see what you are saying, but from the rooms perspective they fill games faster and generate more rake. From the recreational player perspective more tables means it's easier to get into games.

One example would be at CAZ if a 40 holdem goes it almost always starts short handed and it's just a question if it can get momentum. There are a bunch of players who like to play 40 holdem and some may come in if they know a game is going, so a system like Bravo can turn a short handed game into a full game fairly quickly and keep the game running for days.

If they are concerned about starting games why do they let the prop players sit in a 40 ,mix game when ther are regulars waiting to get in and a 20 game waiting for 1 more player to start a new game

I met a "host" last year. I didn't get it, I thought the poker room was the host.

Before they opened the poker room the then manager sought to lock up the regs and hired, not sure, 40-50 what they call 'hosts.' They have to play 32 hrs/wk, iirc, but there are only 2 or 3 of them left.
