He knows that...

The tables do look slightly bigger, as can be seen from all the extra space around them in that picture, even though all 9 chairs are around it. This will be good for the most part, but will make the 4/5/6 and 1/9 even more coveted by the older people who can't see well.

White side tables? That seems like a strange choice.

They're probably a tan color, given that everything else in the room is a brown variant it seems like.

I'm disappointed. I was expecting something prettier. I like the new lighting, it's going to be MUCH better on my eyes but a huge WTF to those chairs. Ft. McDowell put in comfy chairs, Gila River put in comfy chairs but the new CAZ chairs look just like the old ones, dammit! I was hoping that I could give up on the Tempurpedic cushion I've been schlepping for 10 years.

You say this as if it was good before. Tables 1 through 5, or whatever makes up the first row, was almost unbearable. This should be a significant improvement. I'm also looking forward to having enough room to eat

I agree those were bad, but if you were in one of the last 3 rows near the cashier, I could never smell the smoke, but my clothes still smelt like it when I got home.

Go today obviously! If we have less than 3 tables of the 5/10 spread running tonight I'm going to be sad. Everyone will be there!

Casino and poker room are beautiful, lists don't work yet. Covered parking not open, use main entrance and they'll wave you to new front lot. 6-12 Omaha is now 8-16 with half kill. Serving drinks in real glasses. About 12 tables running already, gonna be a busy day.

I let the tree people into our yard to cut some trees down, and now I am on my way!

As long as you don't talk my ear off when I'm losing and on tilt like Daliman does, that's fine

(just kidding <3 you Dali)

I have to get fingerprinted at 11:30, then I'm heading over.

Don't forget to swipe your card when you get in.

Edit: lists appear to be working, and room is fairly warm. Leave your sweater vest at home.

Now it feels like the air is on and is cooling off. The menu is only subtely different, but behind the coffee station they have a fountain soda machine the buzzers can get you refills from. The chairs are actually better padded.

Buzzers?

Will I need my seat cushion?

How much have they raised the menu prices?

Does she keep your balls in a jar next to the bed? The day my girl friend thinks that she can tell me what I can and cannot do (especially poker) is the day she packs her stuff and get the F out!

Why O why are men such wimps that they allow a woman to control them?? I swear, all my friends with wifes act like castrated dogs.... always willing to do what there told! I just don't get it.

oh well... See you guys on Sunday! cant wait to play some 8-16 hold em and maybe even some 6-12 stud 8 with the old people!!

(btw.. it took 2 divorces and 5 or so G/F to find the right one and I am only 34)

Well, here it goes. If it sounds like sour grapes, I did drop 3 racks in about 3 hours of 8/16, so keep that in mind...

The room is nice, the tables are bigger, and everything (except the menu sleeves) appear to be new. The menu is actually more pricey, I ordered a hot dog, normally $2.50, and it was $3.25. I have no other price points to match, but that one was raised.

Unfortunately, they sat the 8/16 game (probably the highest raking game for them) in the worst table in the house, table 19, directly in front of the main board. There were 20 people hanging around there, and it just felt very hectic and I was not a fan at all of having that table there. Hopefully when they are running smooth, we can move that game to one of the 4 games next to the window, I think I would prefer that location as it is out of the way of all the people waiting for games, but also close enough to the board that they can still manage the must move.

They are still dropping $4 + $2 for jackpot games. I know Howard will love to hear that. Also, they weren't doing many promotions due to the hectic nature of getting their first tourney going and what not. Right when I got in, they were splashing potting every table (9am), but not after that.

The board is still a work in progress, and the buttons on the table for seat, chips, food, etc weren't quite working. We had an open seat for like 15 minutes, and the board is basically staring at our dealer. Some guy sat down to talk to a friend, and the dealer said if he wanted to play he could because she was annoyed of trying to get a player, when we did have a list.

Very nice to have the bathrooms in the room.

Also, there are some nice places to go and relax if you need a break from the table. I wish not to let everyone in on them, but I know I will be using them.

The chips are new, which means they are falling all over the place since they don't have the dirt and grime on them to help them stick together.

Also the felt is nice and makes folding your cards very easy to get to the dealer.

The TVs seem to be a bit too small and not enough of them, that was a major complaint from many people.

Also, the cashier only has 4 windows for players. I know there is a different one for dealers, but if the chip runners are also using the main cashier, seems a bit small.

The lighting seems to be about the same as the old one, so again Howard won't be happy.

And the room just doesn't seem to have character. If you aren't at one of the 4 tables up against the glass, it really doesn't feel like anything special. I think it feels a lot like Caesars tournament room in Vegas, and not like an upperclass place like Wynn or Aria.

Hoping to hear everyone elses feedback.
