It was several years ago that I ventured to WHP, but there is really no comparison. The rake was the same then (WHP is pretty ham with promotions but they don't soften the rake any more than TSR) with the games playing much smaller as Pope mentioned and the action being much less. The night/weekend action in 2/3 and 3/5 will be the best action and games in the state without rival. (Random dream home games not included, of course).

Very difficult to understand why the carpet would be a bigger priority than the chairs. Chairs were always noticably horrible there, but I can't remember a thing about the carpet and can't imagine many players caring about it.

Yeah never heard anyone complain about the carpet vs the 1000s about the chairs. Good to hear they will have bravo though..wonder if they will allow call ins when they get bravo??

My chair gets stuck on the carpet fairly often.

No idea. I happened to get to talking w/ one of the senior managers and was told that order and that it was in the budget for next year, and was shown the chairs being considered which, tbh, aren't super great or anything but are a damn sight better than what's there now.

I was told that order but, who knows, maybe the chairs will be before the carpet. If it was me I'd put the carpet first bec it's obv from the color of the chairs (off-white if they get the ones I was shown) they would contrast w/ the current carpet horribly which means the new carpet must be radically different.

There's a really sticky spot on the floor near seat 7 of table 46 that I think is permanently ingrained. You can't even slide a chair across it. I'll be glad for the new carpets.

I went to sleeping horse pass this am to play some spread limit at around 10:30. There were 3 games running and none were nl/sl. The place was dark and depressing. I hit the eject btn

Went to sticks talking there was 1 game of 3/5 running and they were just starting a 3 rd table of 2/3. Took forever but i finally got to sit and play.

Overall I took some brutal beats but grinded back and left at inly 29 bux in the hole.

Ts is def a better/juicier place to play, the pots r bigger, the room is better and i dont have to breathe ciggy smoke when hittin the bano

I will say that at whp they run aces cracked, and run alot of splash pots. Ive had 100 bux dumped onto my table a healthy amount of times at whp. But im yet to get a single benefit from playin at ts. I dint fully understand whats up w that but ive won a handful of splas pots at wh yet ive never even seen one at ts

I look forward to crushing the place and meeting some of u cats

CAZ seems to switch between splash pots, high hand promos (either a fixed amount or spin the wheel) and w/e else I'm not thinking of besides the BBJ. I like those bec they spread small amounts around the room. Also, the promo fund now hovers around 400K instead of the previous manager's coveted 800K which is a good thing.

I've never paid much attention to the promotions but in the case you mention the villain would have been "wheel eligible", right? As I recall it's not a bad beat situation.

Basically if your hand is quads/str8flush, just table it and find out which promos are running.

No it wasnt eligible for the bad beat jackpot. If i would have turned or rivered a ten, then itd b time for hookers and blow

Stay at the casino and its not close. Its very nice and if you get the poker rate, its the best deal in Scottsdale.

This is the high season for Phoenix tourism. "Cheap" will be relative.
