Structure on the flyer does not have any antes...this true?

Blinds double after the last posted level. So it would go 4k/8k - 8k/16k - 16k/32k? That's insane! Guess they REALLY want the tourney over. Does it ever get to that point or is there a chop before this level?

Thanks for any info that you provide!!
No antes, blinds go up too fast, especially at early levels....decent amount of chips, not sure if they still encourage the stupid extra 1k of chips for buying a keno card anymore, tournament lasts about 8-9 hours, usually chop at the end

better than the "$5 dealer appreciation"...at least you get something with the Keno Card (possibility of winning a few bucks).

Thanks for the response. Any others out there? I'm sure Pope or Desert Cat have some input...

The cards at CAz are atrocious. If they really pay 25$ a deck then they should get 24.99 back. It's not that I occasionally find a marked card, it's that every deck I've ever played with has some marks on it.

Obviously they can't do anything about fingerprints that get all over the plastic, but white scratches and part of the pattern not their is inexcusable.

Power is apparently out in the poker room at CA right now. Cage is closed too. Anyone know how long it's been out?

Last update I received was that the cage was closed in the Poker Room, lights were out, but people were playing in the dark. No cash outs allowed at the moment.

Guess it's a good way to get players to stick around for longer if they can't cash out!

The room lights were out for ~20 minutes but the spotlights were still on and players kept on playing in the twilight. Poker players are true degens. If the games were spread in the middle lane of I-17 during a dust storm they'd still sit at the table.

We had to remove a deck today. As DMW has pointed out the cards in the deck were all marked up and of different shades of the same color. I'm always surprised that some company can't make a decent, consistent deck of cards in this high tech day and age.

Yeah I forgot to mention the shading was quite obvious yet deniable because of the funky lighting they have. That worries me because it could be seen by someone across the table. And for the rest, there's all the people wearing those shades.

Rumor has it that the hotel is finally open. Only 3 months after their opening of the casino. And as of 2 weeks ago, the pool area was still very unfinished...

I'd still like to see to a $1/$2 $500 max bet or $2/$5 $500 max bet Omaha (High only) game.

How come the brown $10 chips aren't used in the 5/10?

They only use $5 and $25 (and I guess $100) chips, which really isn't a big deal. Having $5, $10 and $25 chips would be kinda annoying IMO.

What benefit would it have over the current use? If you use your $25 chips well, you are only putting at most 2 extra chips in the pot at a time.

I have only played 5/10 at the Bellagio where they use $10 chips, $100 chips, and $100 bills (which can't be used at casaz). Just seemed to be more efficient and gets all the reds and greens off the table. I believe most 5/10s in LV use a $10 chip as the main chip, but I could be wrong...

A small amount of $5s and $1 were in play for time and tipping. I am def not a 5/10 reg, I just noticed that most of the 5/10s in LV go w a $10 main chip and was curious to why they weren't used since they have them available. Since the $25s are in play I guess it is a mute point

The $10 chips for the 5/10nl game is better imo, speeds things up for the donks that just buy in for all small chips. But it's not a huge deal in general.

2 on flop, 2 at 30 I think. Plus the JP.

We got a reduction the other day to 2+2 playing 6 handed with no board.

Really? I played 2 hours of HU 5/10spread a couple weeks ago and they wouldn't reduce the time charge at all for that. The floor said we had to ask the old lady who was in charge of everything, and she came over and said that the casino now has a rule to never reduce the time charge anymore.
