We had a guy moving to slip the blinds non-stop in the 4/8 O/8 game. The table got fed up with him and he finally switched tables. I just kept my mouth shut as he was bad enough I just wanted him to stay.

I think the dealers are generally lenient as long as you're making a legitimate seat change. What would anyone gain by constantly changing seats to avoid a couple of blinds?

On another note, I played at the most skilled 4/8 LHE table on Sunday afternoon. I'd say of the 9 people there, at least 6 (including myself) really knew how to play hold em, which is scary for a 4/8 game. By comparison I played the day before which was the usual fish-fest.

A couple of blinds.

It adds up. Seat-change-guy probably "makes" an extra $10 a night in not-paid-blinds. That's a dollar or two an hour more he grinds out.

if he gets away with it a bunch of times a night and is a regular, the table can be giving him at least a couple thousand dollars a year from their pockets, instead of from the casino who allows it as the players are paying for this.

The Casino(tm) doesn't care short-term, in that someone pays the blinds. You used to be able to move willy-nilly in the low-limit games here, and you still can in at least one of the "major" casinos here. To be honest, people watching $5 or $6 a hand get raked can only get so worked up about losing an extra $1 each a night as your share of the blind-skipper's money.

I figure they aren't in tune when they give you cards for free behind the button when you show up. Rumor has it an author here at 4 used to take his free hands and then leave for the next casino.

I think the CAZ change is in the spread-limit era. I'm fairly sure you could move any number of seats in the previous fixed limit era. Any limit player care to confirm that it's still the same way?
at CAZ:
In raked( jackpot) games (this includes the 3/5 spread and below)
you can move away from the blinds and still be dealt in without penalty regardless of how many seats you move.
If its obvious you are trying to duck blinds, the floor will be informed( this rarely happens that i see)

"Time" games: ( 5/10 spread and above)
move towards the blind, play without without penalty
move away, either post an amount equal to big blind
OR
wait a number of hands equal to the number of live players you jumped
OR
just wait until its your Big Blind

Not very good right now. WSOP, Summertime, economy. The games aren't getting off like they used to. You'll get a game, but you might have to wait.

Stopped at CAZ over Memorial Day weekend before picking up my wife at the airport. If they don't change the TV set up, not going back for the football season. The view is terrible from across the room. For what I save in rake, can get Direct TV.

Hows the game(poker) selection at your house?
Seriously don't cut off you nose to spite your face...the room is packed for football pools and they are working on the TV situation.

It's working great. Playing 2 Omaha games right now. Moreover, paying lower rake and working off a deposit bonus.

Also watching the soccer game on a 50" TV, with a DVR that I can pause.

Would rather drive up to Vegas.

To be fair, if they wanted to fix the TV situation badly enough, they'd do it overnight.

I'll give you the number for the West coast Panasonic professional displays guy if the months of waiting are because you can't find his phone number.

Well, it's taken 5 years to "get the software" necessary to comp us?

what is the status of the limit 75/150+ mix?

What are the games that are commonly spread and how often do they go off?

It hasn't run during WSOP, at least during day shift. 40-80 has been highest.

Dealers choice. HE, Stud, Stud8, 08, Omaha, and once I saw HE8. If 7 handed they do a lot of draw games, mostly 2-7, some A-5, and I think they've played some Badugi and Baduci.

This blind thing is getting ridiculous. Twice when the button left, the utg player moved to the now vacant cutoff. Way to get a free round of cards ma'am.

Getting? It's been that way at CAZ since I knew there was a rule.

its the house rules and legal to do so. so you can also do it and steal free hands from the other players, or use that round to sit out and not give him your free hand. maybe get the other players not to post their blinds and all walk. this way the house is forced to stop that nonsense rule.

What are everyone's thoughts on the Last Saturday of the Month tournament? How's the structure, play, pay out, etc? I haven't played in any of these yet and thinking about registering for this Saturday's tourney.

Structure on the flyer does not have any antes...this true?

Blinds double after the last posted level. So it would go 4k/8k - 8k/16k - 16k/32k? That's insane! Guess they REALLY want the tourney over. Does it ever get to that point or is there a chop before this level?

Thanks for any info that you provide!!
