Generally any evening there is an NFL game, plus twice on Sundays.

And some College games. Before NFL had to take over Thursday, usually the Thurs game was College. And on rare big games for Sat they do it. And during Bowl Games.

First time in my life just now I had to call the floor and tell them to check the cameras. I flopped the nuts at $2/3 and made a giant overraise on the flop. Two guys called and then on the turn one player donked $25 into 200 with about 45 behind. I shoved covering him but as I did it I separated out the $25 so the dealer could bring it in.

Somehow the dealer just dealt the river and then combined my shove and the other players money in a goofy fashion and pushed me 3 separate stacks as if I was supposed to do her work. She then told me to pay an extra $25 which didn't look right to me. So I demanded the floor check, and they did begrudgingly with many players at the table not on my side. Turns out I was correct and I got the $25 back.

Also while checking the footage I was allin and doubled up but they had set aside my $25. They came back exactly after I doubled up to tell me but said I couldn't win the $25 set aside.

I only post this as a warning to fellow CAZ players. You really have to watch the dealers and stand up for yourself if you feel wronged.

I see tons of dealer mistakes obviously, and half the time the dealer and the other people at the table look at me like I am crazy. And then I realize I'm not in the hand and if they don't care why should I slow down the game for myself and just say nevermind.

Just yesterday the button moved twice, the first two players acted (either both folded, or one folded and one called) and I glance around and realize the button is wrong. After a minute of explaining why it is wrong and where it should be, we finally get it corrected. Sure enough I flip over my hand and I have QQ. Too bad I'm honest.

when betting and you shove all your money in and let the dealer sort it out you are asking for trouble.

I'll be in Scottsdale for a few days next week and I'll likely stop by talking stick Wednesday or Thursday night --- what games are available on a typical Wed or Thurs ? Is the room busy at all those nights ?

Also, what are the ranges on the spread limit games --- what are the rules relating to spread limit in AZ

Thanks

Wednesday is a better , busier night, there will be a $130 buyin NL tournament that starts at 7:15 pm( you can enetr late up to the fist hour)
Likely to have a number(3 or 4 each) of 2/3 and 3/5 spread games, numerous 3/6 and 4/8 holdem games at least one 8/16 holdem , a 4/8 and 8/16 Omaha8 several 20/40 and likely a 40/80 mix.

Spread games use limit rules, 1 live "standard" straddle allowed, 3rd raise is a cap( unless its heads up before the cap is placed), a raise of half or more reopens the betting.

Are there any limitations on using electronics at the tables --- Illinois has some pretty strange ones, whereas Indiana is wide open --- particularly, can you have earbuds in or look at your phone/iPad while sitting at the tables

Thanks

There are no restrictions as far as I know, although I think they may have banned OFC due to issues at higher stakes games. It is probably better for the game instead of having 6 pros playing OFC on their ipads while one fish is sitting there not being entertained.

Obviously if you are slowing the game down and it is noticeable, they can ask you to stop.

Thanks -- I really think that in Illinois requiring players to get up or at least push back several feet to check their phone actually slows things down a bit -- I've rarely seen someone slowing the game wearing earbuds or checking email -- but I guess it probably does happen

looking forward to checking out a new place for me

I don't play higher than 20/40, but there are certainly no restrictions agaist people playing OFC on their phones - I see people doing it every day. DK how they would even restrict just one activity on your phone but not others.

Playing OFC for money is restricted/prohibited.
Some players were so blatant about it, it was clear what was happening and they stop it if they see it.
Im surprised at how liberal they are with devices on the tables, phones are one thing, watching movies with tablets and ipad's on the rail is pushing it.

Restricting playing a game on your phone because you mentioned betting on the results makes about as much sense to me as saying you can't look at the NFL game on TV if you are heard saying you have a bet on the game.

Wtf happened? I leave for eight days and the massage girls are gone. This was the single best improvement in the room in two years. Anyone know what went wrong? They were so good and so reasonable.

Somebody told me that they were unlicensed. That's so remarkable to me that I don't know if I should believe it.

I don't think that could be the answer. I talked with one when she was slow and she told me the amount of money she spent to get licensed was crazy high. I was in Atlantic City last week and chair massage for $1 a minute was all over the boardwalk. I had never seen that before

I won't be in for a couple of days bec of mom's docs. You have that long to find out the reason before I have to go to somebody more authoritative than you and you can't have that can you?

We all have our issues w/ management but how they can contrive to hire massage ppl and then get rid of then w/i, what, 3 days or so is perplexing esp bec decisions have to go thru channels, blah, blah, blah.

I didn't like the idea anyway - who wants a fish to work up a big stack and then give a big chunk of it to a masseuse instead of back to the table? If I played NL/SL would like it even less.

I'm glad they're gone bec I spent money on them and when I didn't I had to expend significant energy making myself not spend money on them. But, meh, the money coming off the tables is a consideration but it's nowhere near what comes off for drinks.

Pretty sure this and more is easily found above, but there is almost always 20/40 holdem, and often 40/80 (more often mixed, but sometimes holdem).

NLHE is illegal in AZ, but they do the closest they can - spread limit games with big betting limits and small blinds. you should find details for these above (I can't remember).

the money going off the table is huge for the game sizes. and some casinos are smart and hire their own or split the take with them.
the casinos do get sued sometimes so they make them have lis. and insurance if on their own as it should be.
