Usually the 3rd game starts between 3 or 4 pm. It'll be a feeder to the 2 main games that they take off if the list gets very long.

Saw a billboard just outside Vegas for the Arizona Championship.

Also saw a few pimping the Commerce.

Yeah they are pushing it big which should mean deep field... Wish they would make it a GTD instead of a "kinda GTD based on entries"

It's not guaranteed $1 million, it's guaranteed $1 million* (*guarantee only valid if we basically would've hit that amount anyway so that we have virtually no chance of actually putting an overlay or losing any money)

I guess it looks good in the marketing to say that it's $1 million guaranteed but it's really just a tournament with a prize pool that is up to $1 million.

What was it before? $5 per comp? And how many hours? I played 4 hrs last week when I went. Do you have to play the X hrs all at once or can you split it up in multiple sessions? They need to just simplify the dumb comp system instead of getting 20 cents an hr in comps that goes on your card and then the $7 food voucher that gets printed out at the desk.

Your hours accumulate every time you sign out. When they reach 8, a coupon prints when you sign out. It's not that complicated.

Apparently it was the #1 complaint from players because most of the lunchs come out to 6 dollars so it didn't cover a full meal...

Eh it's still just an extra step. It's nice they raised the comps though. Isn't it over $1 an hr now? You get 87.5 cents in food comps per hr + the 20 cents an hr in points on your card = $1.075 an hr.

It's hard to call it a comp when they are raking an extra dollar for the fund and then comping you out of that. Who wants to talk semantics and commingling funds?

A dealer told me the line was "1/2 plays so slowly that we'd never make any money." Yeah, because Vegas, AC, CT, and everyone else all went broke from taking the industry standard 10%.

I don't think they care about it being fair... its the best game in town & they know that... Anything going in the players direction is a plus until another casino puts together a card room with live games like TS we are going to be stuck with the crazy rake.

At 8 hours (from time of swiping in to be put on a list) you get a $7 food comp plus $1.60 which I'd like to know if you can cash, so, meh........

Really? Haven't had any problems on my phone--only had to log in once while there for 4 hours today.

I've experienced this problem before, and also had it give me 4 hours coverage, I even rebooted my phone. I wonder if it's related to usage, i.e., the room is packed it kicks people off faster and last night it was packed.

I did notice that if I logged in, stopped using wifi for 5-10 minutes, it would log me out but I could turn it back on without entering the password. But over 15-20 minutes it forces another re-login, which is so damn irritating.

But the other problem is having it kick you off at all. Why? I can never understand why you would irritate customers this way when you are trying to sell pleasant entertainment. If the hotel is concerned about excess Wifi usage of their network, well it's not that hard to put up a new router for the poker room only, either.

My wifi interruptions are caused by the dealer saying "Hey buddy it's on you."

I paid them over $40,000 last year to play poker in their room. Is decent free Wifi really too much to ask?

For example, good Wifi means I can play more often during work hours if I know I can check my servers/email. That benefits me as well as them.
