lol, it only really affects the game if you are playing deep at 5/10.

At 2/3 the max bet is $300. Lets say a preflop raise to $12 and a 3 bet to $30-$35. Now a bet on the flop (assuming 2 callers) might be $60 and one caller. The turn bet would now be $150ish. Now you may want to bet $300 on the river (the max). Both you and your opponent would have to be $600+ deep for the $300 bet to slightly affect your bet size, and probably $900+ deep to make it significantly change your bet sizing. OH NOES.

I have never seen the cap in a 2/3 game change an optimum bet size (~150 hours played, I put the majority of my hours in at 20/40), and I don't have enough experience at 3/5 but I am guessing it happens slightly more frequently since the max buy-in is $1k (vs. 500 max) and not $300 (vs. 300 max). It is still a very beatable game, but if you are a winning player I would prefer for you to stay away. But I doubt you are if you are that closed minded.

Borgota in AC has a roped off elevated floor for the high limits and final table which I always thought added more for the average player.... (Which to be honest I am tired of playing the regular's so anything to get more average/bar/random players in CAZ the better..)
I agree i think there could be more focus on the aesthetics of the room, the "Arena" sign/TV's in the middle is different but im my view not a good expenditure. Add something to make to room feel like a poker room, not a sports bar. Water under the bridge.
Focus on things like the chairs, notice, me included, how many players are buying gel pads? The seats are not comfortable for any extended period of time. You want players to be comfortable, they will play for longer periods of time.
Table tops: most of them look filthy, even the ones they change get dirty fast, when i muck a hand the cards stop where they hit the table.
I see dealers making multiple motions to push posts because the chips that are touching the table stay where they are, chips should slide, not stick on the table. It slows the game down, a lot.

Has anyone ever looked closely at the cards without finding marks all over them?

185ish

I glanced up but didn't remember exactly. I remember looking with like 60 left and triggering that about 1/3 of the field was left.

No comparison.

The tables look and feel filthy more than they don't, its bad form for the image they are trying to create and hold.

Maybe if they used real felt in place of used sandpaper. And puts some ultraviolet bulbs in the spotlights.

Felt complaints give us regulars something to talk about.... to be honest I have played on much worse felt but even the dealers at CAZ complain about the felt...

Did they change chefs? I've ordered two of my old standbyes rom the Asian menu in the last week (Mongolian beef and orange chicken), and not only were they awful, most importantly they seemed to be prepared entirely differently.

It might be resort wide changes. I spoke to another player who had the tenderloin tips from the bar at Orange Sky (which was maybe their best dish ever, amazing) and he told Lethe same story, prepared differently w/different cuts of meat, and now lousy.

I've played at CAZ only once (in March of this year) and this makes me sad. One of the great things about playing there is I was able to order EXCELLENT pepper steak tableside for something like $8 (plus tip).

Does the PLO game ever run. Is there a group of players that meet up on certain days. I really enjoyed the game when they first started it, but I haven't seen it run since.

I'll be in town next week, do the 8/16 limit games run regularly starting in the mid afternoon? Prolly stopping by on Friday to play.

I think the 8-16 HE game usually start in the morning, and the afternoon question s whether the O8 is running and whether 1 or 2 Holdem games are going.
