I don't know how often it runs in the COVID world (haven't been watching Bravo at all until I am ready to play live again), but pre-COVID it was basically a daily game. Very wide mix of games, fairly heavy on the draw games.

Thanks, I don't plan on making a trip down there until until late summer at the earliest so hopefully it will be slightly closer to normal by then.
Anybody here play 20/40 limit at Talking Stick? I'm a few weeks from coming down to check it out. Have the older regs come back? What time in the morning does the games usually start? Can you bring in a back pack? Is it still 7 handed with limited tables.
Possibly I was just looking at poker atlas and it stated the game runs often.

I haven't played that game in a while but a couple of years ago the buy-in cap seemed to be more of a guideline than a rule. Pretty easy to add on purple chips with no one objecting. It had killed the 5-10 spread action but I saw yesterday a 5-10 holdem running with 11 waiting. May have to drive up there if it holds up.

1. Food is allowed at the table again, but if you have a hand, mask must be on, so some players are still taking their 20 min breaks to go eat.
2. Dealer mentioned that they’re hiring a bunch of new dealers, so it sounds like all the tables will be opened again soon, just no official announcement has been made.
3. I hit my first ever live straight flush for a $1500 pot at 3/5, so that’s huge news =)
As a 20/40 player, I sure hope they open up more tables before transitioning from 7 to 9 handed. Maybe they can start doing 7 handed without plexiglass as an intermediate step.

I hit my first live Royal a month ago. But.. it was a $95 pot and there was a flush on the board, 4 of which were Broadways. So not exactly all that impressive. Even worse, the wimp folded to a $50 bet.

Mine was just someone who hit two-pair with their suited connector and I guess decided to turn it into a bluff on the river? Or he legit value bet thinking I had a premium pocket pair because I raised pre after 2 limpers, and cbet into 4 players? Or maybe he was just only thinking about his cards and not mine. I'm not really sure, but I'm glad he jammed.
My best pot with a straight flush was a 3-way all-in on the turn in a 700 or 800 dollar pot with 3 to a flush on the board and I had Q of the suit. River made the flush, everyone turned over their hand, I saw the A and got out my wallet to rebuy. As we're all chuckling about the hand dealer pushes me a big pot. I had the SF and didn't know it. Dealer got a good tip, because nobody else saw it either but he did.
My lamest SF was at the Orleans in Vegas at 2/4 LHE. I was playing to mine free beers. I flopped a steel wheel, couldn't get anyone to bite for another bet, and won a pot of about $14. I did, however, win $150 for a high hand promo.

I hope they never go back to 9 handed again. More roomy and no more fights over which seat charger is who's
You know they will unfortunately. And for raked games, it is a must. I made the mistake of playing at Gila River (8/16) a few times before jumping into 20/40 since I was insanely rusty and I finally walked out when I raised preflop and the blinds folded and they raked $4. I had seen most dealers only drop the $1 for that. This dealer insisted it was correct, I spoke to the floor privately and they confirmed that was correct.

How's that even possible? They include uncalled bets before raking? I assume most of that must have been for a promo drop (not technically rake)
I think it’s why the higher stakes games never run there. They keep trying with the Vloggers games, but people only come for that and never go back. Too greedy
