It's supposed to rain next week so I'd bring some arm floaties.

Hurricane Rosa predicted to drop 4 to 5 inches of rain. Yeah, bring water wings and a flashlight.

Are the games back to normal? specifically 20/40. Is the jackpot still high?

I've heard only the casino part and maybe another level are open. I heard the pool isn't open. I haven't been there so maybe others can chime in.

Sure enough, they claim the system has now changed. Occupancy rate no longer matters. You just need to play 6 hours each day, and talk to the shift manager and they will adjust your rate for that day to the poker rate. You can do it all at once at the end of your stay, too, you don't have to deal with it every day.

Dec-April, the rates are (currently) $139 Su-Th, $189 Fri-Sat. May-Nov rates are $99 all week.
Any idea if this is still an accurate post? I'm passing through next Saturday night and rooms are over $300.

I'm booked for three nights the week before Thanksgiving and was assured that the poker rate will be easy to get @$99.00/night, six hours/day play required.

I spoke to them yesterday and they assured me that the poker rate isn't tied to the occupancy rate anymore. I guess we'll see.

The max buyin for 3/5 is 1500 now. When are they going to increase the max bet limit?

Is 2/3 1k cap now too?

I think it is $500? I haven't played it since the change, but I know it increased.

They have seen some of the 3/5 action move to Gila River with their bigger buy-in maxes after they were shutdown for the month or whatever.

its funny how whenever they do things like put on caps it favors the house rake.

I think it's due to the tribal compact. The only chance it gets changed might be when/if they re-negotiate it with the tribes to add sports betting.

Are the 2/3 games playing bigger or more different since the change?

What is in the 40 mix?
In town next week and since no traditional PLO would be interested in a game a bit bigger than the 20 limit game.
Does 40 straight limit ever go?
Are the guys in the mix friendly and helpful to newbies clueless in most odd ball games?

40 mix has many games to choose from. Haven't played it in awhile, so I can't comment on what is most likely to be in it.

There is a 10-500 PLO that goes sometimes.

40 straight limit sometimes goes on weekends.

Yes the 40 mix players will be more than happy to teach you the rules to each game.

Ok.
Thanks for the quick reply. I know it sounds foolish to ask if skilled players will put up with someone who is sure to donate, but you’d be surprised how some of the pros treat the recs in the bigger LA and WSOP games.

One of the best things about poker is that anyone can go play.
