Because the point of holding the dailies is to bring some traffic in when it's slow. Why bother in the afternoon and evening when it's already busy?

The only notable bad things about the room are the rake and the lack of a decent comp system. The rake is unfortunately an industry standard thing and I'm optimistic that with all the complaints that will come in over time that they will improve the comp system (they do have a history of listening to people's feedback, not quickly but eventually they do get around to it). The tables are also a little too big but that is more of a nit-pick. Overall it is a pretty solid room. Best one in all of AZ.

Anybody play the 20/40 Omaha the last few nights?

Today's complaint is the state of the cards. There are so many fingerprints, nicks, and smudges visible in the glare that eventually they should all cancel out and it will be like having new cards again.

WOW! There is a first, someone saying the tables are too big. Personally I would rather have "too big" than get squished between two 300lbs'ers in the middle of summer.

Because the tables are so big, if you're in the 2,3,7 or 8 seats then you're pretty far from the community cards and it's hard to see. If I get put in any of those seats I move to the 1, 4,5,6 or 9 seat asap. Not a huge deal but I have a 4 out of 9 chance of not liking my seat and having to wait for someone to get up and then moving to their open seat.

Or you could what I did and most other people would do, go get glasses, if you have glasses go get a new script, if you have a new script get a new doctor.

alternatively, you could go the senior route and get the dealer to read you the board.

Now now, Old Man Mo does not speak for all of the seniors.

Seriously, though, I avoid the 2,8 seats because it is kind of hard to see. Nonetheless the benefits > costs. Have you ever played hold'em on a stud table?

I have a hard time seeing, and if I am in the 7/8 and someone shows a hand in the 2/3 I have the dealer verify with what I think I see before mucking.

I am a young guy who has never had glasses but know I need them, but am holding out for Lasik.

I prefer the 5 seat so I 100% know what is happening, and cause it takes the least effort to muck in a manner that doesn't make the dealer have to stretch for the cards.

It's run two or three times this week. That's the first I've heard of it in a while...

As for the tables being big, the problem with the 1 and 9 seats are that the dealers are sprawled out over tables getting the pot right. I was in the 9 yesterday, dealer puts the flop out, as he's pulling in bets he looks at me for my action. If I stood up, I still wouldn't have been able to see the board.

Please don't read this post. I know no one cares but I feel like venting so...
Yesterday in the CAZ 8/16 there was a black hoodie, black cap, huge headphone wearing visitor who claims to be from Chicago regularly playing the $40/80 at Hammond, IN. (Nevermind why he was in our 8/16 instead of 20/40). After hours of arguing with players, floor, and dealers (you know the new dealer who giggles every time she makes a mistake? She said "I need to go to a new table, this guy is pissing me off"), he starts making fun of a kid in the game who is soft-spoken and uses a thumbs-up gesture when raising to make sure his action is clear (goofy but whatever) after the kid beats him in a pot. A couple of hands later he is close to all-in and starts thumbs-upping it on a 77K5 board. He and opponent go 5 plus bets until he is all in and karma does her job and he has 75s and opponent has KK.

Why do people feel the need to come to a new room and complain about the dealers and floor people, make fun of players, and generally make an ass of themselves? later that same session a guy who claimed to be from commerce was bitching and moaning about having to pay $6 for his vodka cranberries?

I'm happy to watch these asses stack off so I guess I don't care how they behave. But I do hate having people abuse dealers who are just doing their jobs for no reason. Now that I have it out of my system I'm kinda hoping to see this ass wipe again today...

Thanks for listening.

There was a guy playing on Sunday who was complaining about every rule, he was used to another set of rules at a different casino.

It was 8/16 "He can't move without having to post"
"Thats not how a kill pot works"
"How does the board work, seems like people are being skipped over"

Etc etc etc.

People need to understand when they aren't at their regular casino, rules may be different.

It does point to how useful a universal rule set would be, but that seems pretty unlikely and many attempts in the past have failed.

I got so sick of having to re-log into the wifi that I just bought a battery charger.

I admire the courage and trust of the people who plug their phones in behind the coffee machine and go back to their tables.

That's not what I meant. Think of what I have as a separate battery that can be plugged into the phone to recharge the phone. I have, however, sometimes used the regular charger but next to the high limit board's computers.

I saw a charging station at Bay 101. Maybe you can lobby CAZ for something like that. Apparently it works on the honor system.

The floor might be able to charge an iPhone for you. They used to have loaners which I think kept disappearing, but might have one remaining in the back office they can give quick charges on.

Though I rarely play that game any more, I'm pretty sure they would never allow something like that, bad for the game.
