Hey everyone. Does anyone know how many players they usually get for the Monday Evening Bounty Tournament? ($80+15+25). I was considering taking the drive over but wanted to make sure it regularly runs with a decent amount of players. Thanks!

What's the status of the 15-30 limit game(s) on Saturdays? The Op FAQ says the game goes 4-5 times per week but according to Bravo the game does not run nearly as often. If I show up tomorrow (Saturday) can I expect a 15-30 game? what times, approximately?

I have been traveling a lot lately and haven't been around as much, but it probably runs more like 3 days a week now (M, Tu, F) rather than 4-5. Unfortunately Wed and sat are probably the days that have stopped running, especially over the summer. Sat looks like it goes only about once a month, according to the TMW site.

Moved to the area a couple years ago but haven't been to any of the card rooms yet.

Will be taking my first outing, to Parx in a few weeks from now. I've been trying to learn PLO8 and would like to play that live; from their website, it looks like they offer it in principle. Can anyone tell me if it runs, on a Friday night?

On Bravo last night I saw a game that the app called "2-2 POT LIMIT OMAHA" and I can't figure out what that means because that doesn't match anything that I see on their website.

On the Parx website I see:
$1/$2 Hi/Low $100-$500
$5 Single blind $200-$1000
$5/$5 $500-$2000

If no PLO8 then I might try their $6/$12 OE although I'll definitely be a fish in E, so that might not be a great idea for me...

The website cannot be trusted, it is out of date. Neither the 1-2 nor 5-0 PLO games listed there run anymore. You're better off reviewing the first post FAQ in this thread, though that also gets out of date from time to time. (If so, let me know the corrections and I will make them.)

I don't think PLO8 runs, but I may be mistaken. I don't think 5 card PLO has made it to Parx either, though the 10-20 limit Big O / SuperStud runs a few times a week. I'm pretty sure just 2-2, 5-5, and occasional 10-10 PLO runs. One of the PLO guys who reads this thread will likely chime in to confirm or deny sooner or later.

2-2 PLO is normal PLO with two $2 blinds.

6-12 OE is usually a lot more passive and "friendly". It's hard to get too hurt playing it, but YMMV.

Agree with Dinesh. Can't get too hurt on OE unless you are a total fish. If so PM and let me know when you are planning to play

if you want to try to set up a PLO8 game, send me a PM, not sure that I can get it to run now, but I can sent out a text to someone who knows most of the PLO8 players in the area (they've told me they plan on making a regular PLO8 game at - probably- SugarHouse, but last time i ran into them they told me that it hasn't been organized yet)

It might help to try to get it running during a series, as some of those players also show up to play PLO8. I will be busy this entire next week and weekend, but ill be free to help start the game nearly anytime after that.

Yup, 2-2 and 5-5 are the only PLO games that run every day. 10-10 and sometimes 10-25 and 25-50 run on Tuesdays. I've never seen PLO8 or 5 card PLO run.

How are the cheaper hotels around the casino ? Is it a high crime area or is it pretty safe?

I gave up with the Extended Stay. Too many shady ppl around and just pay the 100 bucks for the holiday inn.

Boney thx for the offer, but I'm pretty mentally set on trying OE this time. In the future I'd def be down for PLO8 though. I'll keep an eye on Sugarhouse and/or PM you if I don't see anything there by the time I'm thinking of wanting to play it.

I'm here now and it's pretty good. Maybe a touch on the warm side but not too bad.

Called ahead around 6:45pm to get on the O/E list. Got here at 7:30pm and was 5 deep, so I got on the 1/2 list and was seated within like 10min. Dusted off $200 on my 2nd hand, meanwhile they sounded like they were going through the O/E list pretty fast so I got up to chill and get a beer thinking I'd be called soon.

I've been 2nd on the O/E list now since I got up from 1/2. Nuts.

don't really recall more than 2 tables ever running, the pool of players for 10/10 is not that big

It's always in February, May, August, October and December.

I played 2-2 PLO for 6 hours yesterday. Unless it was an off day, I found the dealers to be pretty bad on average. I was surprised, especially because this game has been going strong for the last few months. Of the 12 dealers, only 1 was very good and maybe 3 others were decent. I only get here a few times a month...so kind of frustrating at how slow the game goes when the dealer is not helping the situation.

Is this the norm?

i thought i read on bravo or somewhere that every tuesday at like 4/5pm was a plo tournament...if so does anyone know if this is even worth playing ?
