I'll be there for the $350 event. If I will not get seat in the event I'll play
cash 2/5, 5/10 NLH. Cash game should be really juicy at BF.

They had a high limit mixed game going last time i was there, on a friday. was never more than 5 handed, mostly 4 or 3 handed. The players looked like grizzled vets if that's any help. fwiw if you're looking to play high limit mixed games the woods is the place to be.

lol

I can't make the early tournament, so that's whay I asked about the evening event. I would no doubt play in the morning event if I could make it. But I am thinking, with the aforementioned "juices" flowing on BF, it might be -eV for me to play the evening donkament unless I can reach the FT.

FWIW, the Woods is running a $400 tourney on Friday too.

After being a foxwoods goere for about 4 yeears, I finally went to Mohegan this weekend since I was meeting some friends there.

Was pleasantly surprised by the room, nice basic comps, and new burger/pizza place.

Am seriously considering coming here instead of woods more often.

Thanks, I'll just show up naked, and bring a bag full of clothes; I can always add clothing as needed.

This is just a total guess on my part, but I would think that as the day goes on tomorrow, it will get busier and busier. I know many people playing hookie tomorrow, and if I for one had the day off, you can bet your a$$ i'd be there.

MS has a limited time promotion for $100 in free slot play for new Player's Club members that show a club card from Empire City casino at Yonker's Raceway in NY. Details are here. Since this is for new Player's Club members, it won't help any regs, but it might be of interest to a few people anyone close enough to Empire City (slots only) to get a club card there.

Went down yesterdat for the 6:30 PM $120 10K guarantee. Cancelled and I arrived late only to see the tournament started and it was $200 special. I had already ordered my food at Margaritaville and it was getting cold so I missed the first 2 1/2 blind levels. Ended up chopping 3 ways around 2:30 AM for 3K a piece, leaving 1,600 to play for. Last hand had AA on button, lost to a str8 flush. OH well, ran good for a good score.

Didn't make it to the Poker room on Black Friday. What was it like?

It was busy Friday. The tournament @ 11am got 200+ players exceeding the guarantee. After busting 4 hours into it mostly card dead, I went to the poker room. 30+ people waiting for 1/2 NLHE and 12+ waiting for 2/5 NLHE. After 30 minutes, I finally got on a GREAT loose passive (mostly) 2/5 table that was ez $.

Went to the Woods Sat/Sun and found some more extremely juicy 2/5 games. 1 wealthy player would shove almost any river when it was checked to him. Another player called a river shove with KQo on A234x board thinking that KQA23 was a straight. !

I am planning on going up Wednesday night to play 2/5. I am assuming this is the best weeknight to play b/c of the tournament running concurrently? Logically, when the idiot/donks get knocked out, they are already there, so why not donate some $$ on the cash tables.

Does this make sense? Is there a better night to play than Wednesday?

@Cheezy21

It is definitely nice full games during/after tourney. Sunday afternoon/evening has been a soft game as a whole also for whatever reason. I usually go during the day on weds though cause of work. GL either way

They're putting 220 bbs in with queens preflop? Damn, wish I was rolled for that game.

A couple of questions about the sun:

Is OE commonly spread at 20/40+ at the Sun? If not do they have a HOE or HOSE? Is the speed of the game faster at the Sun than Woods seeing as the dealers get to keep their tips? How many hands should I expect per hour?

OE is not commonly spread at the sun. The speed of the game is definately faster at the sun in general.

Hey all, I just made the "Foxwoods-Mohegan" switch two weeks ago and was curious about comps at Mohegan. I have played for 7 years at the Woods and have hesitated in switching over simply because the games were fine, I had too many Wampum points to abandon, and liked the fact a lot of the dealers and players knew me well enough to strike a conversation. I'm glad I finally tried out Mohegan for several reasons (not the least of which is saving 15 minutes drive each way), but am wondering if they have similar offers for players. I know the points they give per hour are better than the Woods, but I always get coupons for 15 points per week at the Woods. On average I play 15-20 hours/week at 1.5 points per hour for 1/2 NLH (very rarely played 2/5), so this was a good bonus. The other offers (free hotel room, etc) aren't much use to me as I live just outside Hartford and hardly ever have the ability to stay over. I have looked over the standard benefits of Mohegan's players club and what each level of player gets. I've also read about the 150 players with the most hours in a month, but figured maybe they mail coupons similar to the Woods that they wouldn't mention on the web. Any personal experience with this?

They also send mailings quite often...mostly though with offers for cheap rooms. Foxwoods is defintely more generous as far as their "just show up and get comps" points...so it really depends on how long you are going to play and if the additional points/hr will make up the difference.
