From what I gather its a 10k freeroll for the top 100 cash game players of the past 3 months. They sent me a letter I have to present to the cage on the 17th to get a seat.

I'm wondering if they are allowing other people to register or if its closed to only the top 100. Hoping its open so the prize pool can hopefully >10k.

Also hoping its structured a bit deeper but I know i'm being wayyyy optimistic.

So I noticed on the Mohegan poker website that they're starting up a $4,000 guaranteed event on Tuesdays and Thursdays next week with an $80.00 buy-in. Think there will be a lot of interest in that?

Lot of people in room talking about it so sounds like there will be a lot of interest....Maybe an overlay first week but after that will probably start to go over after more people here about it....

It's basically a 3 month qualifying period, top 100 cash players and top 100 tournament players. I'm guessing cash players u need to put A ton of hours in.
Tournament players accumulate points for cashing in tournaments. I never got a letter in the mail so I don't have the letter to bring with me but I did qualify for it cause I asked for the list of players who got in.

And the answer is no, no one is allowed to buy into it and I hear the structure is pretty gross. 6k chips 10-12 min levels? We'll see on Tuesday

Mohegan sun has a clear cut system on how to earn a wolf card or a sagamore card...it's not guessing game on how to earn higher tiered cards...they have a cash in the box promo they have the new royal flush promotion which is totally house funded they have free roll tourneys.......they cater to their players......

Foxwoods the more u play the more they jerk u around...in 3 years never got 1 free room offer and as of last week I no longer get free racing forms or programs I used to get 15 points a week now I get 10 every 2 weeks....what a joke Foxwoods is.....they never give u any kind of break on the rake and they don't appreciate loyal customers......rotten to the core!!

I was there on a Thursday just before Xmas and was under the impression that the 4K guarantee had already been implemented. FWIW the tourney that day just scraped by the guarantee.

PoconoDike is correct. F-woods has been boning players as of late. I would get offers for 2 rooms a week, now I dont get anything. Not sure why.

Played some 1/2 last night for a few hours. Had the most beautiful girl ive ever seen at a poker table there.. I guess shes a regular cause everyone seemed to know her. She could model no doubt. Anyway some clown next to me stacks her so we all gave him hell. Anyway it was fun. I made a whopping 1 dollar profit in my session.. Weeeee

Correct. 800 pts for Wolf and 1600 pts for Sagamore, in a fixed 6-month period. Foxwoods has the Gold card for 800 pts and Platinum card for 2000 pts, also in a fixed 6-month period. It's clear cut at FW also.

I was Wolf for 8 months. I got zero room offers, zero gift giveaways, and one $10 free slot play one time that I don't think was even connected to my Wolf status.

I didn't feel very appreciated...

I started playing at FW a few months back and gave them less action. (I'm still at the base tier level) I already get rooms, gifts, BSP, etc...

YMMV

I've been playing poker, TG and even a little slots since they opened 15,yrs ago. I've gotten 2 free bets and 10% off a pair of sunglasses ( had to spend at least 100 lol ). Hell they wouldnt even give me a break on Kenny Rogers tickets that i wanted for my GFs mother a while back. You can defend them all you want but they don't give dog ****!

What's TG? And that's true, they don't give dog **** to low rollers (i.e. poker players).

Oh ok....maybe I'm wrong but does Mohegan make u get 15 base points a day that get have to be earned in order for them count towards your 800 points like Foxwoods does?!?!

And correct me if I'm wrong but how is it fair to be a player at Foxwoods that puts in a 10 hour session weekly from 2am to 10am where the points stop at 6am......that is the dumbest thing in the world.....I'm nowhere near wolf or gold status at either casino but if I was trying to earn one I think Mohegan is the better bargain

It's definitely easier to earn the tier cards at Mohegan. How they compare benefit-wise is another matter.

It was a $100 buyin, $20 vig and $25 bounty when I played it a couple months ago. It got about 65 players durning the power outage snow storm.

Crap I agree. MS has it posted already on their website starting on Fri Feb 3rd. Looks like the Fri $200 is getting moved to 11am on Sat with only a $125/$25 buyin and 10k guaranteed.

Nice job of them lowering the buyin by $50 but keeping the vig the same at $25...
