Cash does not play. All money has to be changed into chips.

So far 5/10 has run every day but for the most part the game hasn't been great. The fish are usually buying in short and either getting stacked or doubling and leaving. I'm hoping this weekend improves things. I think a lot of it is there aren't a lot of wealthy retired people here looking to dump 5k in a game like there is in Florida.

I hear the lower limits are awful but the dealers at 5/10 for the most part have been good. The floor people have also give us a few free half hours of rake each time I played. My big complaint is the cashier. They have been extremely slow with me and almost look nervous when I go to cashout what to them appears to be a large amount. Also when I went to buy chips the first day, they accidentally gave me $4500 instead of $3500 almost lol.

For the person who asked about the 50/100 list, a few friends and I started that list as a joke to patronize someone who put their name on a 25/50 list which had 0 chance of getting off.

+1 to pretty much what everybody else said. Dealers are alright, only ran into one that was clueless. Drinks/cage situation is terrible. They really need to fill dealers trays to take some of the slack off. Needing chips to be changed to cash to buy alcohol is so lol, makes so little sense. Rake is obviously too high and they are really going to shoot themselves in the foot because of it.

I am totally dumbfounded that it's confirmed .25/hr comp. One dealer (who actually seemed to be in the know) said it was due to them trying to hike up the BBJ as much as possible and that in time they would raise it. Acting as if the free parking has anything to do with it is insulting. The only reason the rates are as high as they are (minus valet), is to try and discourage parking downtown for events where they will never see the inside of the casino. I considered the hike in rake kind of washed away by comps and TR credits, but now, not so much.

* BTW, for those not in the know, you can purchase lots of gift cards (including Amazon) with your Reward Credits. I am sure there is a thread somewhere on here breaking down the value of everything.

Pay. I think it's flat $3 draft and $4 bottle and $5-7 for liquor. Could be mistaken on some premiums, but I definitely saw guys paying the same amount for Coors Light and Anchor Steam.

Thanks for the help. Just noticed on bravo the 5/10nl list vanished. What happened there went from 9 to no list and no table running. Hope this is a mistake.

Inconsistent information.

One floor person mentioned them wanting to get off a $500 satty for the Main Event in June.

I think that would be huge in drawing players/attention from around the state/region.

Just got back from a 8 hour session at 1/2.

Overall first impression mirrors most of what has been said both positive and negative.

Biggest problem I saw was without a doubt player rebuys. I don't think they are doing the dealers any favors as I saw several get very flustered trying to get a chip runner over and still deal.

Interesting, when I was there dealers were selling out of the rack for rebuys (mostly- varied widely!)

The strangest thing I saw, though, was toward the end of the night when a dealer just had a bunch of lammers by their rack. Baffles me how that can be more secure, in any way, than just selling out of the rack. Seems like a little $100 lammer can disappear and reappear much more easily than a stack of 20 red chips (!)

Coming tonight for some $5/$10 action. I saw there was one table last night and 14 on the waiting list. Hopefully they can get two $5/$10 tables going instead since they make more money off that game. If they do, anyone know if they would have a must move table?

Also, where am I supposed to park to get free parking? I had to pay last time when I parked in the casino lot...

You need to park in the "official" casino garage. It will have Horseshoe-branded signage on the garage. All the lots near the casino say "Casino Parking" to try and get people in. You need the official garage and you need a Total Rewards card in order to get free parking. Once you play at least an hour of poker, you can either go to the TR desk, or one of the self-serve machines and get a parking voucher printed. You give the voucher to the attendant on the way out.

There is a self-serve TR parking voucher machine right by the buffet on the bottom floor.

Any of the machines that say "Promotions" on it. There are a bank of machines on each floor (except the poker room floor)

I know it has been said that $0.25/hour in comps but what are the comps? What I am asking is, we earn tier credits that are only good for status. And we earn Reward Credits (which I thought were our comps). If we earn $0.25/hour in comps then that should be 25 Reward Credits an hour. But I earn a lot more than that.

Are the .25 in comps a different system?

I am trying to figure that out. I put in 3 hours at 2/5 plo, 2 at 1/2 plo and 2 at 1/2 nl. But I play baccarat at $50-100 hand for about 45 min so who knows. My tier points went up 134 yesterday.

And to make it more confusing, I played until 2 am and I think the system might only count until midnight then update the next day. Mine said as of 5-18-12

we played 5/10 for about 12 hours yesterday. It was a really good game compared to the other days. I'd say its pretty doubtful we'll have 2 tables going though. A lot of people that put their name on lists are playing Omaha and don't really have intention of moving over. It actually wouldn't surprise me if we get 10/25 off tonight.
