Sick promo at the Nugget coming up in June.

It's an hours competition leader board for the month of June. Cash game player with the most hours played in the month of June will win 2k in cash plus a free entry into their 10k guaranteed tourney they run on the last Saturday of the month. 2nd place in hours played gets 1k in cash plus a tournament entry, and so on and so forth. Top 20 players in hours get cash money. It's only a 10 table room so you have a nice shot at this thing.

Check bravo for details. Should be a good one. In addition to the leaderboard, they have high hand 12-12, 2x comps on Tues and Friday, 3x comps on Wednesday, Splash pot every day 11-7pm and 12am-2am. Free Buffet after 3 hours of play, which can also be used as a $15 food voucher.

Does anyone know any benefits of the 24k Select Club? I was thinking of heading up next week because I saw they offer 2x & 3x rewards.

$100-1000 is a nice structure, plenty of room to martingale your buyins, but i dont think they will ever get business til they quit mandatory breaking up all the tables at 4am, no matter how full they are every night.

knew there would be a catch. how do you expect to ever compete when ballys/harrahs/trop have a game or 2 at all times. Waiting for the first table to open everyday must be brutal.

i dont usually leave haven til 430am

Do yourself a favor and play elsewhere. Room shuts down because they don't have foor/dealers to work that late. Sucks getting stuck in game than the game is shut down. Been playing there at times and theres 10-12k on the table on a 1-2 game. Tons of action. Money flying all over. And they tell the players 5 more hands, we gotta close the room for the night.

He's upset for other reasons. These are the softest games on the east coast. Telling someone to "do yourself a favor" and play elsewhere is misleading. Is the room well run? No. Do they close the room when they shouldn't? Yes. Are the players here the worst in the country? Quite possibly.

Whenever they have a game you should play there.

I know the OP personally. I know the back story you reference as well. One has little to do with the other. I myself grinded there when they reopened so I know it well. I know the staff well. Some for 20 years.
It is poorly ran. Mostly due to upper management of the property not the poker room management. Although I've had questions about how he runs things as well.
Bottom line is they are located next to one of the biggest rooms in the country with a ton of action. I've played all around the country and the GN in it's hey day 18 months ago was decent. For any cash game player there are better rooms right in the city. The idea a room will shut a game down in NJ because of curfew is ludicrous.
It's not a great room. It's reg infested. The promos are so so. Better ones in town. You'll never get a room there playing poker. So to tell the OP stop this $&@& is uncalled for. If you do well god bless you but it's not a goldmine.
IMO no room is that great In the city which is why I play at Parx. But that's another story.

I know the OP very well so I was half messing with him with my bluntness. I disagree completely on the play there. I think that is the worst collection of players I have ever seen on a consistent basis. Even the "regs" you refer to actually drive action and are terrible in their own right. Rooms are not an issue for me, don't really ever want one. The fact you are earning $5 per hour on Tuesday and Fridays and $7.50 (!!) an hour on Wednesday is tremendous, in my opinion. Splash pot drives tons of action as well. I think if you're there for profitability, no better room in AC than the Nugget.

Room is ran horrifically, though. I have no idea about upper casino management but the in-room management is putrid.

I played here (1/3) last Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Naturally the action was much better on Saturday night. Saturday had more bad touristy types and degens.

Sunday was local/reg infested but the local regs were mostly bad. There were at least 3 competent players, but also lots of trashy limp/calling and friendly check backs on the river with 2nd and 3rd nuts.

The comps and promotions are pretty dope. Just wish there was more choices for games.

Played the late tournament on Saturday, no longer a turbo tournament with bounty but a 5k guarantee. Had 38 entries and top 7 paid, pretty decent. Will return.

Is the 6K on Friday's a bounty? I see online they mentioned $25 bounty voucher but nothing on Bravo. Also, anyone know what 1st place usually pays?

The room is re-opening on Wednesday.
Are they putting out some sandwiches?
Why are the tournament players
Getting a free-roll but not the
Cash game players.
What are the other benefits
Of playing Wednesday?
