Both tribes would stop making payments to the State if they allow MGM. That's few hundred million a year the state would miss out on.

I think the fox and mhgn have a contract for no competition. They wouldn’t have a reason to continue a deal if CT allowed a Bridgeport casino run by a competitor

I think the east Windsor casino that Foxwoods and Mohegan is trying to open also violates that pact though

I didnt think so- thought it would be run jointly by them without negating their deal with the state- they both get to expand

There has also been a tribe, from Kent I think, that has been trying to get the right to build in Bridgeport area for years. Even if they should have that right, I don’t think the state would ever let them have the power to decide this. I think they wont be recognized by the state in whatever way needed.

Re: Foxwoods Resort·Casino (Mashantucket, CT) -- FAQ in OP, updated 2017.05.09

Under federal law, Indian tribes can offer any gaming on their lands without state revenue-sharing for any game the state allows to anyone within that state. If the State of CT grants a license to MGM for games within CT, the tribes no longer have to pay part of their revenue for those same games under either their current compact or any new compact.

States can negotiate compacts for revenue-sharing from Indian gaming within their state, for any games which are granted exclusively to the tribe(s). They cannot get revenue-sharing for gaming without some sort of exclusivity, which might include games that only the tribe can offer, or possibly stakes only the tribe can offer. Any compact terms have to be approved by the federal government.

Allowing the tribes to expand to new facilities within the state may or may not be allowed under a current compact, but would not be grounds for ceasing revenue-sharing with the state. It might require negotiation of a new or revised compact. The same goes for granting in-state gaming to a different tribe, as long as that tribe is federally recognized.

Has anyone seen the new rake chart at the sign-in desk?

For $1/$2......$2 on the flop. So let me get this right.....3 players are in ..$6...the dealer is supposed to take $2 on the flop?

Yes. So please spread the word to never open limp from the button. Raise or gtfo. I've never been a fan of chopping, but I will do it now.
