Different every time, call in before hand and you get an hour and a half to show up, no way you wait for more then 10 minutes if you show up at the end.

^^^ this is a joke right? If you get lucky you will wait 10 mins of less but 9 of 10 times its more then that. Waited today for over an hour for a seat.

Best times to come (if your coming in afternoon) if for either 2pm or 6pm as these are shift changes and they often have more dealers and will open tables.

Thanks guys, haven't been up there in over a year. I should be up there by 1pm at the latest.

The problem I've found at these two rooms is too high a proportion of local (pros). Sometimes they're six out of 10 players at a table. Any way to deal with this except show up at 10 pm on a Friday/Saturday and wait for an hour and a half for a seat?

Not really no. But, just because players are regulars, doesn't mean they're good.

Anyone got any insight on Fallsview vs Casino Niagara? (Both the Canadian rooms)

Softness, game selection, stakes. Anything really. Where would you rather play?

Fallsview has more action and is 2/5+. Niagara is all 1-2.

Both places are ridiculously soft

hey guys. long time since been to fallsview. will be there late thursday afternoon on oct 1 and plan on playing also the friday am to mid afternoon.

i remember crazy waits for 2/5. what are the waits like on a thursday say 5 to 6 ish. i dont recall ever having a problem early day. is the max still 500 or did they increase it to 1000. last time i played there they were telling me they no longer accept bills on table since someone that lost grabbed the cash and dashed. they also closed my favorate exit for smoke break because of it. thxs

Been there a few times over the last couple weeks, and yeah you have a full hour and a half to call ahead of time. Id call atleast an hour before getting there to make sure your wait isnt too long. 2/5 and 5/10 are both really good games there

Can anybody confirm that this incident happened? I thought it was the AGCO or upper management that prohibited cash on the table.

^^^^^^^ It sucked cause the exit that led me to my smoking area was so convenient. I cant obviously confirm anything since I heard it second hand as i tried to use bills (I was thinking it was because people were using fakes) and the regulars told me what happened which is why I subsequently just kept black chips in my pockets in reserve but the rest of the story was me asking if they every caught the guy, and the shocking answer was NO.

The no cash at the table rule was possibly because of fake bills (that was part of the rumor) but another reason was every 30 minutes at dealer change they had to count all the money right after they took session fee. it would often be 6-10 hours before they took the cash so it would take a long time to count. In typical FV fashion they didn't make it easy.....the dealer couldn't just count it that had to place it face up on the table in rows of 5, fan it all out for the camera....it was a nightmare.

Wait times are random....sometimes you get on right away other times you wait. Best bet is to show up at shift changes when they open new tables. 2pm they often open them and you can call in 90 mins before.

When I phoned around 2 pm Saturday, there were only three tables. By the time I started playing, there were eight tables and I was seated right away. I think there were two 5/10 as of 7 pm.

The poker room has undergone a nice makeover since I last played there, including better wallpaper. The board showing the 17 tables is gone. There are now nine huge TV screens high up so both dealers and players are distracted when they're watching TV instead of focusing on the action. The regs (both winning & losing) continue to be too quiet and don't know that they should be friendly with the tourists and fish.

Perhaps you shouldn't lump all regs together as being quiet....many regs like me make the fish feel very welcome. There are a several regs that just don't get it but don't lump us all together.

Heading up there in 2 weeks. I am looking forward to it. Only played 1/2 last time and Saturday Nights were full of fish while Friday and the early parts of Saturday usually had weak/nitty regs. I am expecting 2/5 to be similar if not even weaker. Is 2/5 max buyin $500?

Fallsview has 2/5+ and buy-in is $100-$500. 2/5 will not be weaker than Casino Niagara's 1/2 as there are semi-pro regs and a few 2+2ers at Fallsview.

Thank you! Still though semi-pro regs at 2/5 probably are pretty weak.
