Hey everyone, I've been looking into my push/fold play and it's got me thinking a little. The question seems a bit demanding but if you've got some time then I'd really appreciate it if you could answer. I need to read more MTT based material so any references would be nice too.

So here's the situation:

Including yourself, there are 9 players at the table.
Action has folded round to you.

In the following examples, what percentage of hands are you shoving with?

10 big blinds

UTG:
UTG+1:
UTG+2:
MP:
MP1:
CO:
BU:
SB:

15 big blinds

UTG:
UTG+1:
UTG+2:
MP:
MP1:
CO:
BU:
SB:

20 big blinds

UTG:
UTG+1:
UTG+2:
MP:
MP1:
CO:
BU:
SB:

I won't shove with 20BB effective any time. also highgly dependant antes, stack sizes behind and stats/previous activity.

EDIT: We'll say that all stack sizes are of ~30BBs (which is rare but we'll just go with it).

I've edited OP and added 15 big blinds too. What's your range for 10 big blinds in those spots then?

Also, how would antes effect your range and why?

I forgot to add also dependant on stack sizes behind and reads/recent activity, antes = more money into pot.

Now I feel like a bit of a moron. I completely disregarded that crucial element of what we're talking about. Is there any software or articles you know of which can help me out here?

Should be some stickies flying around. Software: SnGwizard, pokerstove. holdem manager.

Also, read Kill Phil, then Kill Everyone (in the reverse order)

But yeah - SNGWIZ for in game equity calcs, pokerstove for general equities hand vs range
