Villain in this hand is a typical loose passive player with stats of 28/8 over 60 hands.

On the flop I elect to raise the min bet as I think villain is min betting here with a draw, small pair or overs to the board which Im probably only going to get one street of value from the majority of the time should villains hand not improve. I think villain is more likely to call a raise on the flop with a larger portion of their range than will call a bet on the turn should it brick.

Having followed the above line I found myself stuck at what I should do when villain calls the flop and the action is checked to me on the turn?

I have 2 conflicting thoughts on what I think is the best way to go about the hand to get max value. Should I bet really small to try and induce a 3bet bluff from villain which they may do with any draw or small pair. Or should I put in a large bet which may look like a bluff and hope villain wont give me credit for a hand and call with any piece of the board?

    pre is good
    flop is fine
turn I think a bet of 300 or so, to set up river jam is ok, as is checking behind, hoping he leads river.

agree with most of this. I might bet slightly less on the flop to make sure someone sticks around.

Why not minraising pre or so?

at 25/50 with these stacks we make life simpler by just limping. We can set mine and make sure we don't get reraised off of our hand. We could maybe make it 200 or so and c bet most flops, but I prefer to get value out of players probably playing too many hands when I hit a flop set for 50 chips.

minraising isn't scaring anyone off and we will be in a bloated pot with an average holding.

    Perfect spot for set mining.

I wasnt sure about my turn bet, although it worked out fine this time, I didnt think it was the best way to get max value. What do you guys think?

Raising is about getting the initiative. Anyway if there are so big fishes as it played out, calling is way the best pf.
