Just decided to start playing 180 man turbos. Trying to follow some fairly straightforward strategy, but I'm not really confident with any of it.

Anyway, I made the final table in my first one and got down to the final 5. Since doubling up to a chip lead a few rotations ago, and then doubling a short stack TT<AQ, I don't think I'd played a hand, getting dealt 8 high or being shoved into. Then this.



One of the players (not the caller) then said, "vn push". I seriously don't know if this is sarcasm or not. Obviously I wouldn't have shoved if I thought it was complete b****cks.

Was it a "vn push"?

Look at SBs stack, bad shove IMO and his call isn't much better tbh.

I highly doubt he was complimenting your push and was more just happy to have one of the better players eliminated to move up the pay ladder.

As far as the shove I think it's a pretty close call between shoving and folding.

at 13bb and the sb at 3.5bb im r/c to him and r/f to the rest, looks super strong cuz ur priced in to call the SB and dont think they wont be reshipping much lighter than they would have called u if u had shove, just my 2cc

Push is fine as well as r/f BTN and BB. His call is standard, I'm never folding ATs in his spot, busting 4th or 5th makes no difference. NH.

The raise is an interesting line. I'll give that a go next time.

This is a jam or fold spot. Its a good push because BB's calling range should be much much tighter than usual if we take ICM implications into account

easiest r/f spot vs anyone but SB.
people repush way too tight on this limit, especially with the shortstack.
and against him we have great equity
