In these spots having a read on your opponent would be handy, in saying that I can't see myself ever folding 44 here.

Hey, quick question so I'll ask it here. Is the blind structure of the 90 players sng different from earlier? I always thought that they were 10/20 15/30 20/40 25/50 30/60 etc.

Now they are the same as the 180's 10/20, 15/30, 25/50, 50/100 etc.

Haven't been playing mucht lately so i could have missed it
    04-02-2013 , 01:49 PM
Anyone know the avg profit for a good 3.5, 8, 15$ 180 man sng grinders?

    Hi all,

Just got knocked out of live MTT and wondering if my call here is standard. Sorry if this is an obvious spot, new to the forums and trying to improve. Thanks in advance for responses.

    3rd hand of FT with top 5 paid. Blinds 2/4k w 400 ante Av = 80k roughly

    MP jams for 41k
Folded to hero in SB with 32k. Hero has 88

Is this a snap call? Villian seems to be solid player so I think his range is what you would expect with his stack and position.

Note: Rest of table are very tight/timid and majority play awfully. I considered folding as I knew I could take down a few pots jamming a wide range as their calling ranges are pretty narrow.

Result: Hero calls, BB has both covered and calls with QQ. MP had A9s. QQ held up.

    Thanks!

Hand 1. I fold to the jam.
Hand 2. Have to call at that price, but proceed with caution.
Hand 3. It's ok as long as you're happy to call off the BB.

Hi guys, this is my first post here.

I am playing 45 man SnG's and I had this situation:

I played 3 hands in a row. 1st hand I had had 7 BB and shoved 99 to win a showdown. 2nd hand I had AQo and won without a showdown. 3rd hand in a row is this:

fold, fold, Hero raises to 15.4 BB and is all-in, fold, CO calls 9.85 BB and is all-in, BTN calls 2.63 BB and is all-in, fold, fold

    Flop: (23.83 BB, 3 players) K 7 8

    Turn: (23.83 BB, 3 players) K

    River: (23.83 BB, 3 players) 8

Hero shows J A (Two Pair, Kings and Eights) (Pre 37%, Flop 25%, Turn 12%)
CO shows 9 9 (Two Pair, Kings and Nines) (Pre 50%, Flop 68%, Turn 88%)
BTN shows 6 J (Two Pair, Kings and Eights) (Pre 13%, Flop 8%, Turn 0%)
    CO wins 23.83 BB

I'm guessing because I had more than 10 BB I should have just raised and fold to the re-raises?

    Hero (MP): 15.4 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J A

fold, fold, Hero raises to 15.4 BB and is all-in, fold, CO calls 9.85 BB and is all-in, BTN calls 2.63 BB and is all-in, fold, fold

I would be raise calling here. But with the right read on the CO it could be a raise fold.

jamming is fine. raise / deciding is ok too.

In this spot you would have called btw if CO had jammed and button called.

Is there a discussion about adjusting to players at your table during a tournament? I just ran into a situation where there was a pretty laggy dude to my immediate left who was getting out of line with his 3 betting and showing down with marginal cards turned to nuts almost every hand. How do you adjust to a player like this? Tighten up? Shove pre? By the time you get some good cards you can shove pre with his stack is so huge he can call with pretty much anything and get lucky, which is what was happening.

Hi, is this push or should I wait for a better spot? Table seems to be tight, and it was on the bubble.

Is this jam ok? I'm expecting to get called a lot but does the large chunk of dead money make it a +EV move?
