Min bet from short stack in CO, A10o in SB?? Min bet from short stack in CO, A10o in SB??

Been thinking about this a little while and ive not really come to a solid conclusion. basically when a relatively unknown player who you have no previous info on min bets say an 8-12 BB stack, how do you deal with that ? I think its reasonable to generally assign villain a stronger range but often times they will show up with a weak hand. just want to know how people adjust to this?? I think I am folding too wide in this spot because I am crediting them too much.

I also give them usually stronger range as I think they want to induce push with monsters. I would call and make a note if he really does it since if he say plays one table and has no stats on sharkscope, h might be just not push/fold - aware.

likely does have a slightly stronger range. but ship it in dont flat playing against a 10bb stack with a hand that wont flop well. our hands too strong to fold

if reg does it - it means all in.
if fish does it, you need to guess.
hud helps.
if he plays 35/0 or something and now out of nowhere he min raises on this stackdepth its usually strong range
if he's 45/37 then i dont care and jam (just today saw a guy 3x/f 10bb from the BU in $15 180)

difficult spot. when i see a 18/16 player do this i am very very suspicious. in the past i just 3betted wide but encountered to many monsters lately. i use PT4 and this software has a very handy feature. You can let it make automatic notes. For instance the range where villain raises <12bb. I use it alot especially in these kind of spots. Because you got regs who just minr wide here and regs who are just super duper strong.

If it's functionally all in then at minimum you can refuse to play the levelling game and just jam if you would have called an all-in from that player from that position.

If you wouldn't have called then see if you have something worth flatting given the odds (particularly from the BB).

yes but there are a lot of players who will jam nash here except monsters which they minr-induce. you loose alot if you consider this an allin and call accordingly against those players.

If you have that read then yes.

If we think its a player pool read then we should try min-raising air against regs sometimes. Which means they probably do it against us sometimes. But I just mean we can refuse to play that levelling game if we don't know what villains are doing.

right. hence the auto note taking on regs. It is sooo nice to see a reg on the button with 10bb minr. Then look at this <10bb minr stat.when i see: K7s, A2s. I consider it an allin. But often i see hands like: AA,QQ,AQ. And no weak/med hands at all. It then becomes a std fold with anything but monsters.

I am going to expect to be shown a better hand some of the time but i do think this is a shove without any reads

Generally that is the play I opt for, shove and take a note but probably folding more borderline spots.
