yep,nothing you can do

Alternative lines would be to shove pf (assuming you would shove some weaker holdings in this spot).
Or c-bet this flop. Given BB stack you shouldn't call turn if you're not going to call river, unless you are expecting BB to give up? Unlikely with 1/3 of his stack invested and <9BB behind.
As played I'm folding river.

Why you check otf?

I'd like cbet flop and give up ott if he call us.

Or push pf

no need to shove pre, but I think you kinda have to bet the flop. Otherwise V can think the A and/or K scared you (cuz it did), and bluff you out of the pot (which maybe he did, but you can't call anyway).

sw_e - at what stack size are you shoving in this situation? Or do you have a shove range for this stack size, just that QQ is not in it? In my simplistic world I would look to shove some weak aces, some suited connectors at this depth but would also include some strong holdings like QQ as shoving can look weaker than a min raise. I find it hard to work out when to induce and when to just gii. Thanks.

Well I think f you ask 10 2+2ers "When to shove when 3 handed" you'll get about 15 answers. At least.

For me, in this case we have about 14BB, and that seems too deep for an openshove for me, no matter the holding. I'm prob 2.5-3BB raising 40-50%, calling off with 20% or so...but this so much depends on the opponents. I might shove the bottom of my range, weak aces and baby pairs where I hate getting called, but even then, depending on the table, I may feel OK with normal raises.

As for the range balancing, I am prob in the minority here, but I think it's overrated in 90% of the cases. Unless I have a reason to think I'll be up against these 2 opps a lot, or will be playing this table for a long time, I'm just an ABC type of guy. I need to balance at my home game cuz I see those guys once a week, and with some of thm we have 5,000 hand history. Some online punter I may never see again, I think it hurts me more than helps to get fancy.

Sorry forgot to answer your first Q: Usually I think about openshoves at 10BB, give or take.

Thanks for the responses. Agree with a lot, esp the number of diff approaches and around balancing. Unless you are playing the same good players time and again the need is minimal. I do tend to shove probably my whole range at <15bbs, but thats personal pref. GTO probably has a proper answer but the stakes I play that is no matter. I want to be able to shove a wide range so keep all strong holdings in there too. A lot to be said about just playing ABC, can't go too wrong there.

looks good.

Reads would help in this situation. C-betting this flop.

IMO preflop is fine, trying to induce a shove with a premium hand.

Flop could be a cbet, but it's not mandatory IMO. If you do and get called pot gets way too big and you'll have a hard time folding.

As played I'd just fold turn and move on. If you had a read that BB is aggro and bluffhappy then you could call and call river, but without reads I'd just let it go.
