Villain just arrived at the table - so I have no read on him and he has no read on me. Now, IMO, v an unknown and a 3x open i like a fold here, calling is also ok I believe and I think jamming is slightly spewy?
I wanna know what you do here?

My stack don't allow me to 3-bet with the intention to x/f if I miss! 3-bet will have to be around 1.2K, which is more than half my stack. I'd rather fold or jam pre IMO.

Agree with OP - calling is ok, shoving is bit too wide.
Also have hard time see 2.5x 3bet vs mp 3x even if deeper.

You're also unknown to him if he hasn't seen you do anything yet. Clear shove IMO.

I'd fold here, you are risking 2bb to win 3.5bb. If he makes it 2x or something similar I am flat calling.
