Bovada/Ignition | $30.00 + $3.00 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - 30,000/60,000 6,000 Ante - 4 players
Hand #3447620001 - delivered by Pokeit

BTN Seat 245: 1,152,014 (19.2 bb)
UTG Hero: 3,814,750 (63.6 bb)
BB Seat 754: 1,018,212 (17 bb)
SB Seat 469: 645,024 (10.8 bb)

Pre-Flop: (114,000) Hero (Hero) is UTG with A♣ Q♦
Hero raises 60,000 to 120,000, Seat 245 folds, Seat 469 raises 519,024 to 639,024, Seat 754 raises 373,188 to 1,012,212, Hero calls 892,212

Flop: 9♠ Q♠ 7♣ (2,687,448) (3 players)

Turn: 7♠ (2,687,448) (3 players)

River: 5♣ (2,687,448) (3 players)

As you can see, we're 4 handed with the chip lead, 63 bb in our stack. The other stacks are 10bb, 17bb, and 20bb respectively. This is the final table and the payouts are:

1. $4370
2. $3182
3. $2386
4. $1856

What's the worst hand you'd call it off with here? In game I snap called with AQ since its a premium hand given the effective stack sizes. Looking back, though, I realize that a fold is pretty reasonable because I'd still have a good chip lead, guaranteed without any risk of losing. Heads up I think AQ is a snap call all day v either of these stack sizes.

BB has to be super strong here as he could just leave you to knock SB out. So I think its a fold for the reasons you stated. AQs is close but still a fold I think so calling off AKo/s and say JJ+ maybe QQ+....or is that too nitty?
Also depends on whether they perceive you as a maniac

I think AJ+, maybe KQs and 66+ should be the calling range here. It isn't a disaster if you lose and the bb may not be astight as suggested, because he covers the sb. He could easily hae a hand like ATs or KQs here and some small pairs.

BB doesn't know you will call a shove from SB - you should be opening really wide so that affects the width of all the subsequent ranges after your action.

I thought this when I called too. Also I thought small blind would shove pretty wide. As it turns out the BB
