Hi. Found myself in a kinda difficult situation yesterday. $5000 rebuy addon GT, buy in $10. Preflop action. I'm utg+1 with AKo, chip leader with about 330.000 (blinds 15k/30k no antes), utg moves all in with 250k. Others have 150k-70k stacks. 9 people left. First place is $2400, second $1800, third $909, etc. 9th place is $151. I instantly folded and now I think if it was correct. P.S. Took the third place.
Oops, sorry, it was not an mttsng, just mtt, but had only 288 entrants.

I'm a fairly new player to SnGs and tournaments but imo but with 9 people left and a decent amount of BBs folding was prob right. You did come third after all, so I'm guessing you just found a better spot to get your chips in, which is what I think I would have done as well, especially with some smaller stacks left.

I would need to see the full payout list and stack sizes to know for sure but it looks like a good fold - particularly if you think you can do ownage as you put pressure on the others with the 2nd in chips bottled up on your right.

Assuming a standard shoving range (66-KK AJo ATs KJs QJs) you only have 55% equity, less if hes shoving tighter. Not to mention the 7 other players left to act.
It's not worth the risk considering your position.
Avoid the coin flip, keep your chip lead, fold.
