Crazy fold with KK? Crazy fold with KK?

My thought it was just after my 3-bet in that situation i was expecting him to fold since it was the bubble and from my experience in 45 man sng players play unreal tight and u dont see often light 3 bets. So after he shoved (note that we was the two chip leaders at the moment) i put him on a very tight range! i was sure he would passed ot at least flat call after my 3 bet but he didnt so after a lot of thought i folded. I like the comment of Ismelltoast that i could flat in order to reduce variance and play safe with the second chip leader and i start to use this now and in some spots like this i think is really helpful. Nobody likes playing two hours and bust in the bubble with a monster hand from a mediorce hand!

Whenever I'm the chipleader, I have a very good reason to shove over other regs:

1) They want to money
2) I just found out they'll fold KK

F**K ICM - getting it in here with KK. Even if he shows me his cards and he has AA, I'm snapping him off.

Just don't fold KK ever. i did it a few times before and once someone had AA and i felt really good about myself. The other times i was dominating them and wanted to hang myself.
But putting an accurate range on someone with 30 hands is tricky. If he min 4 bet me i would be more paranoid about AA but still get it in as he can have other hands aswell.
In fact if he was 0/0 over 30 hands and 4bet shoved i still get it then aswell.

If we fold KK pre, then our stack isn't nearly as valuable as any ICM model would suggest.

Nice bluff, OP.

Strange enough, but it is not the first time i heard/red about these shaolin monks folding KK preflop. New breed of online pokerists are growing. Hellmuth gonna like it

Alright, you guys. I think OP gets the picture; we can probably stop burying the knife in.

Hah right, every straightforward hand people banter about it for ages yet they 're all silenced when a somewhat more difficult hand comes up.
