Confused about 45 man Confused about 45 man

12-13-2011 , 07:36 AM
I'm playing not succesfully 45mans turbo for the last month or so. In the beggining when i touched the 10bb limit i would shove at the blinds or SBvsBB. Now i got player that told me that as my stack gets smaller i should be more patient. That doesn't seems to work at all since i really must hope that i'll get some cards and when i do that i'll take 5 flips to make it to the money.
I really can't see what's the right thing here

Shovingranges depends on lots of things. Stacksizes, positions, villians ect.

Yep. Like wait for the monster hand type of tight. But he's a winning player so i had to try at least that way

Well, he can be right in some spots. But mostly u should open ur range when getting shorter.

This why its a really good idea to post hands.

But there can be situations where he is right. But in general u should be wider with a smaller stack.

Can u try post some of the hands where he says u should be tighter or wait for a monster? I will be happy to look at them.

This one for example. In the beggining i would shove ATC with this stack. The bottom of my range should be Ax Kx here?

Never ever folding this here. U should start doing what u did. Never wait for Ax or Kx here.

    ATC looks good man!

    what mckrogh said

    also
    • study push/fold (eg with sngwiz or similar program)
    • post hands
    • maybe find study buddy to discuss
    • maybe consider coaching
    • you don't say how many games, but if it's only a few then maybe you've just run bad over a small sample
