Barreling with high equity hands vs fish Barreling with high equity hands vs fish

08-22-2016 , 10:57 PM
This spot came up when I was reviewing my play. I always wonder if its worth to barrel off vs fish when we just know he doesnt fold ever. I usually pick up high equity hands when betting oop. Is this a good spot to 3barrel? We know nothing about the opponent. His range looks like med pocket pairs, some Ax high (flop) and worse flush draws. Ocasionally he will show up with a set, but I think fish raises sets OTF. OTR with my sizing he needs to be folding 31% of a time to make this bet b/e (386 into 1245 = 31) Is fish folding med pairs often enough on this runout? What if the runout is not that scary for him, say 452 2 7 or so? If we suspect that hes not folding any 1 pair hands OTR is it worth to bet to balance out with times that we hit?

Our equity on different streets look good obv
flop (67%) turn; if he folds Ax (38%)

I'm fine with betting flop and turn but I'd shut down and check on the river hope to get a check back, I'd also bet smaller on the turn.

    3b pre?

Betting flop, but using a larger sizing due to flop texture.

Sizings are pretty bad on every street. Betting otr is just burning money if yout read is correct.

    I'm thinking the same.

@Corpsey I think we can 3bet pre if we know he's a fish, because usually if we hit the flop we will get paid of.

could you also explain why the sizings are so wrong? OP clearly put some time in formulating his question so at least you could do the same.
