3 of 30 in 3$R 180
only had 20 hands on each of the villains so no read.
i saw that MP3 snaprejammed

what we do facing a 5X and a 15X snaprejam. Is it smart go be giving up our good stack in a semi marginal spot where we are prlly facing a PP and a hand that steals at least 1 of our outs (most likly) ?

if we assign a semi likly range this is our result:

equity win tie pots won pots tied

Get it in and be happy about it. There is dead money that gives you pot odds, and you have good equity vs. their ranges, AND someone who makes it 5x is a weaker player and sometimes (not often I guess, but definitely sometimes) will fold - adding once again to the dead money.

I think the ranges you gave are probably ok on average although the first guys range is probably going to be tighter. (if he does 5x qjs he is folding if mp2 jams and you overjam for e.g.)

also when someone does something goofy like 5x 1/3 of their stack, 20 other hands of info can be pretty helpful. even if their other 19 hands were folds, that means theyre not drunk/doing this with tons of crazy **** and you can be a little more accurate in the range. i also disagree with claydol about how often the 5x is folding.
08-27-2011 , 10:48 PM
you think he will pretty much never fold or more often than i implied?
08-27-2011 , 11:10 PM
less often, although you have more/more recent experience on 5xs from 15bb stacks and what follows after. if theres a real chance then i think ako becomes an easy call.

edit: sigh, reversed the stacks. disregard

Man, picking up a 140k stack at t2000 is probably too tempting for me to pass on the opportunity. I probably just figure that if we lose then I have a stack that I know how to jam, and if we win we have a ton of options available to us. I vote for gambooooool.
08-28-2011 , 01:58 AM
yeah when i said sometimes i mean like 20-25%ish of the time
08-28-2011 , 04:54 AM
I fold. Mud mentions something similar in his thread about passing up marginal cEV spots once you have a close to final table sized stack.
08-28-2011 , 07:36 AM
Can't fold that imo.
08-28-2011 , 08:33 AM
how to fold when ur having AK for 22bb effective 3way with loads of deadmoney?
08-28-2011 , 03:51 PM
Seen the original raiser fold in this spot way too many times to fold AKo here
