A3o sb v bb - 45 man FT A3o sb v bb - 45 man FT

12-31-2015 , 07:40 AM
Hey guys,
Villain has a pretty tight image on the FT (hasn't seen him shove once)
Wondering if A3o strong enough to call here? I expect to be ahead of most of his range IMO.
Thoughts?

He may loosen up because of the bubble burst but i'd still fold

ICM. You can fold this, you're always slightly ahead but never that far ahead with these hands. If he's an active button raiser and a reg, target him and his LP raises with shoves instead.

Thank you.

What Kristofero said, he should be jamming ATC but you can't call - except a min raise would most likely to be to induce. Instead, get chips here by open-shoving when nobody else has opened - be the person exerting the ICM pressure on others.

Not ATC but wide and surprisingly well thought out, including an image range.

Knows he's been tight, focuses on FT's more and lingers on table half a second longer to remember meta/hands, will shove 85s stuff. Because 85s is nearly 45% v A3o.

High card value aside, with a contested pot BvB, if you realize a ton of your opps shove any Ax late, you can really maximize hidden EV spots by shoving/calling wide/reshoving over BTN/LP shortie shoves.

I would fold this, A3o isn't that far off my calling range here but your read that he hasn't shoved once yet at the FT and that he is likely tight makes this a fold imo. This is a call against a player with a loose blind on blind range of course.

fold in this phase

There is not many hand that we completely crush and we are risking our tourney life with A3o. I'd rather call with T9s than with A3o so it is a fold IMHO.
