Really need a read on villain here. He makes it a full 3x in this spot which is a bad beat pretty much any hand he has. This bet tends to be a strong hand that wants folds but won't fold if shoved on. With less than great fold equity, and a hand that is crushed against hands like 77-JJ which are common with this 3x bet I think a fold is good.

    Range, 88+AK+

Little fold equity when he opens to 3x and you're the only player he is probably calling a shove against, its not the worst play in the world since winning this gives you decent shot at going deeper and you'll be able to apply more pressure on the two larger stacks on your left.

Need some stats on V. He opens 3x on button which is a bit weird bet sizing as he does not want any of the blinds to flat the call. I personally will find very difficult to fold 55 in sb against a button open given the blinds. I think its about calculating the fold equity you have which after the 3x open is very less.

still i would find difficult to fold 55 aginst a min. button open given the blinds.

As played if u think the V is not folding maybe a tight fold, but this is very close.

I'm pretty sure the opposite is true, but we don't really have FE because we only have 7 more bb. Fold equity is key here, and I've definitely had villains fold in similar spots, but it's not something I would rely on. Maybe he folds 10% of the time. Off the top of my head, this is a fold.

Thank you for the answer, really helpfull. My thoughts was that he has hand where we don't have (much) FE but because of 3BB he probably hasn't top range in this spot.

    fold, button isn't going anywhere.

I honestly think this is a shove readless (we really should have reads though), people are assigning the button way too tight here in general. He has an 8k stack and opening 3x doesn't in anyway mean he is tight or we don't have an fold equity. In fact the thing we can assume is that they probably aren't good, which means we have a lot more fold equity than people think.

The super short stack would make my shoving range tighter. Probably 77+ AQo+ ATs+
