I was watching my friend play, no HUD or other apps.

Late stages (12 remaining)
(UTG) 6 Handed KQo
Open shove (1300 into ~150 pot)
four folds, SB rr AI (2500) BB folds
shows AQo

Steep payout structure

we miss and bust.

He asked me what to do and I said shove or fold. He hesitates and then shoved.
I felt like he had some FE against Vs range and is not always in terrible shape given a call. He happened to run into the top of Vs range which was unfortunate.

Any advice on this line? Was the shove a little loose given stack sizes? Simple lay-down? Do I owe him a BI?

First of all are you sure your numbers are correct?

It seems for being down to the last 12 stacks should be a lot deeper.

If it is a 10BB shove then that seems fine 6 handed, especially with the blinds coming round

As you said he was a little unfortunate to run in to AQ.

The stacks and blinds might be a little off, there was an ante too. But I remember the pot was around 10% of his total stack. I figured the blinds were about to hit and this shove usually takes it down.

stats would have been nice but he's a casual player so I had limited info to work with.
