Opponent was a recreational player a bit on a looser side.

Preflop: I think with ICM pressure my default here is shove and pressuring villain. But I think he might be calling to loose in this spot, which might make shove w this holdings -EV. So I think play is ol/stab or or. I decided to or, but ol/stab against this villain might be a better option.

Flop: Not sure how to aproach this spot. Is it fine to just bet/get it in in this spot w ICM pressure? Should we take a more passive line?

    Thanks.

I would limp pre flop. According to your reads he would probably call your raise anyway, and as you said, because he is probably not ICM sensitive he might call a shove too loose.

I think I prefer jamming pre vs said opponent even if they are a bit laggy. As you said they might be calling too loose so they will definitely not be folding to you raise pre and you're now playing a mediocre hand OOP. Jamming pre would just put all the pressure on them and would make this much easier for you.

    shove pre.

Do you have any stats. vs some villains I'm limp stabbing.

Don't like the preflop raise but I do ilke the sizing in this spot assuming we are r/f to jam.

If villain is marked as a bit lappy and has a fold to cbet % to match I don't mind r/f here to his shove on flop. you will get a lot of folds but when a lappy player shoves I don't mind sacrificing your ok equity here your still going to have 10bb with 4 shorter stacks you are on the button next hand having paid the blinds for this rotation.

getting it in here on flop here with our bf with villain is disastrous.

Yeah I had read that was not adjusting to ICM play and villain was more or less playing the cEV (he called shove for Tbbs a guy from UTG w A8s on btn), so I think against this villain oshove is the worst play. Olimp/stab probably the best. Postflop I think he is shoving any 7x,8x, FDs, possibly 56,96 and a few 3x. So against this range we have got close to 48% and in cEV we need app. 36%. Just feels to good to not call, Idk maybe w ICM it is a fold anyway.

Is ICM a reason to not shove and play post-flop instead? Seems to me you often end up all-in postflop instead.

Does anyone have stats on that? - given 15BB stacks does a jam SB vs BB get called more or less often than a 2.25 BB raise ends up all in?

no, ICM put $ pressure on caller and given the stacksizes here, BB should be extremely tight, so we can shove and gain $ev* with any two cards.

*$ev not cEV because we gain chips, but they are worth $ at this point.

Should be extremely tight, but I know (based on previous play info) that this guy would not be tight and loose money by shoving (icmizer computation).

If he's gonna call us looser then I wouldn't shove, either mr/cbet all flops, mr/f or limping is also an option.

Now I believe shove is way better, even against a bad player.
